The school of art and design, Shenzhen University, is located in the beautiful campus of Shenzhen University, backed by Du Juanshan, facing the back bay, and across the sea from Yuen Long, Hongkong.

The college has complete disciplines, including industrial design, environmental art, fashion design and engineering, graphic design, animation design and other majors.

There are more than 50 teachers, including 10 professors and 15 associate professors. They come from many famous universities at home and abroad. They have high academic level and rich teaching experience. Some of them are scholars and artists who have made many achievements.

The Department of industrial design began in September 1987. It is one of the earliest industrial design disciplines in China.

From the beginning of the whole industrial design education model to the formation of its own industrial design education system, it has made a useful attempt in the practice of industrial design education in China.

The Department of environmental art was established in 1994. On the basis of mastering advanced visual communication tools and techniques, it attaches great importance to the comprehensive cultural quality education for students, and strengthens their sense of individuality and innovative thinking.

Combined with the demand for talents market in the new century, the Department boldly explores new roads, promotes lively teaching methods and real and specific teaching contents, and develops educational design with distinctive and distinctive teaching mode.

The Department of graphic design was established in September 2002.

It mainly trains graphic design talents in corporate image design, packaging design, advertising design, book binding design and so on.

The Department of fashion design was established in September 2002.

Its predecessor, clothing design major, was founded in September 1994.

She is one of the earliest disciplines in the art and design discipline of Shenzhen University, and has trained hundreds of outstanding graduates of fashion design for the country.

After years of teaching practice, the Department of fashion design has explored and established a complete teaching system for training practical talents.

The students who participated in the international and domestic costume design competition won many gold prizes.

The major direction of animation art is to train professionals with basic knowledge and basic theory of film and television animation creation, and be able to work in animation, creative design and choreography, 3D computer animation and creative theory research in the posts of media such as movies, television and computer networks.

The animation profession has been led by our existing art experts and computer Ph. D., and has introduced outstanding graduates and masters from national universities. At the same time, our department and IDMT, a famous animation company in Asia, have established a cooperative relationship between teaching practice and research and development.
