Textile and Clothing Institute
The textile and Clothing Institute is one of the long history teaching schools in Qiingdao University. Its characteristics are obvious, its teachers are strong, and has strong teaching and scientific research ability. The Institute has 90 faculty members, including 74 full-time teachers, 10 professors, 35 associate professors (associate researchers), 5 senior experimenters and 25 lecturers. There are 33 teachers with master's degree or above.
The Institute has 4 teaching departments: Textile Engineering Department, textile material and product design department, clothing department, fashion art design department; 2 scientific and technological research institutes: Textile Science Institute, clothing Research Institute; 2 disciplines laboratory: Textile Laboratory, clothing laboratory; 1 CAD Center: textile and clothing CAD center.
The college has a master's degree in textile science and engineering, including master's degree in textile engineering, textile materials and textile design, costume design and engineering, three two level disciplines, and two master's degree in design art (fashion design direction). The Institute's master of Engineering in textile engineering is one of the four master of engineering degrees in Qiingdao University.
The foundation of scientific research is strong. There are 1 key disciplines in Shandong province (Textile Engineering), 1 provincial key laboratories (functional fiber and Textile Engineering), 1 municipal key laboratories in Qingdao (fiber and Textile Engineering), and 1 key disciplines (garment engineering) at the university level. The total value of the existing teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 8 million 200 thousand yuan. Remarkable achievements have been made in scientific research, which has completed 50 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the national key research and the provincial and municipal longitudinal scientific research projects, including 11 international advanced level, 26 advanced domestic level, 4 national awards, 27 provincial and provincial awards, 19 patents, and 1 national oil painting awards. Textile Engineering (basic length of schooling: four years)

It can be engaged in textile scientific research, textile development, textile process design, textile production process and product quality control, marketing and trade, computer application and operation management in enterprises, scientific research, teaching and other departments.
The major is to design textile materials and textiles, knitwear and clothing, textile and computer applications, textile and textile trade, and modern textile technology and applications.
The main courses are: Advanced Mathematics, general physics, English, engineering mechanics, mechanical design foundation, electrical and electronic technology, computer application and principles, textile materials, spinning, weaving, knitting, textile design and so on.

Garment design and Engineering (basic length of schooling: four years)
This speciality trains high-level professional talents who have the theoretical knowledge and practical ability of garment design, clothing structure, process design and clothing management, and can engage in garment product development, marketing and marketing, management and management, clothing theory research and publicity and commentary, etc.
The main courses are: sketch, color painting, clothing history, aesthetics, clothing design, computer application, clothing materials, clothing structure and technology, clothing CAD, clothing production technology and management, garment industry plate making, clothing marketing and so on.

Art design (Fashion Design) major (basic length of schooling: four years)

It can engage in fashion show, costume design, public relations and etiquette. It has advanced professional talents who are independent in fashion show director or organization.
