    It is very sad for designers to keep a close eye on the ever-changing phenomenon of fashion.

    Before understanding the utilitarian consciousness of men's clothing design, we first need to discuss what qualifications and consciousness the fashion designer should possess.

    We divide the formation of fashion culture into five levels: human culture, race culture, national culture, regional culture and fashion.

    Designers should stand on the fashion of the real society. When designers think about designers, their cultivation and consciousness only stay at the level of fashion, it will be superficial, and their works are also unbearable.

    In order to establish a sense of utility in men's clothing design, it is a kind of savvy summing up from the inevitable and objective laws of the development of social history.

    It does not belong to any region or nation. Although it may arise from a certain nation, it belongs to the objective law of truth itself, and it is likely to be beneficial to any nation in the world.

    The utilitarian nature of clothing is the product of the perfect combination of clothing culture and use, and the utilitarian nature of men's clothing is built on the basis of "function".

    In other words, the use function of men's clothing determines its form and constitutes the basis for stylization of men's clothing.

    Then, the utilitarian nature of men's clothing is the beauty of "function" itself, which does not require a little false and camouflage.

    This is the true meaning of the sense of utility of men's clothing.

    In this way, the utilitarian consciousness of men's clothing is very abstract.

    We can get a full understanding from the analysis of concrete design.

    In men's wear design, this principle is followed: no practical decoration should be applied as long as the decoration is practical.

    Take suit sleeves and buttons as an example. The suit is evolved from the ancient British gentleman's riding suit (the predecessor of the dress).     On the collar of the suit, if the flat collar is collar, the buttonhole is only located at the left collar collar (collar); if it is a tack collar, there are buttonholes on the left and right collar collar.

    This is inexplicable to the general explanation of the insertion of the brooch and the hanging tag, because the two buttonholes of the barge collar will not insert two brooches, nor will they be tied up with two tag plates, which is obviously related to the function of their original suits.

    This utilitarian symbol almost becomes the identification of a genuine suit.
