China, Japan And South Korea Talk About Silk Prospects

Scientific and technological innovation has always been an important factor in the development of cocoon and silk industry. China is still a large country of silk raw materials, and the core technology and key technology of silk deep processing and technological innovation capability are quite different from those of Europe, Japan and other countries and regions. We are very willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the world cocoon and silk industry, learn from each other's strengths, and jointly study, develop and produce high-quality products that meet consumer needs, so that silk products can be renewed.
       
In the coming period, China's cocoon and silk industry will fully implement the national policy of "ensuring growth, adjusting structure and expanding domestic demand". In accordance with the deployment of the national plan for adjustment and revitalization of the textile industry, efforts should be made to promote the structural adjustment and optimization and upgrading of the cocoon and silk industry so as to achieve healthy, stable and sustainable development.

First, we should continue to consolidate the achievements of "moving the east to the west," and lay a solid foundation for the development of the industry.

Two, we should tap the market potential and expand the consumption of silk products.

Three, we should speed up the pace of technological transformation and enhance our capability of independent innovation.

Four, we should actively cultivate silk independent brands and enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry.

Five, we should increase the development of comprehensive utilization of Cocoon Silk Resources and promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the industry.

Six, we need to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation.

In order to cope with the financial crisis and protect the silk culture, Japanese related organizations have carried out a series of work. In 2006, Japan launched the kimono culture examination. The campaign advocates the restoration of kimono culture, and through large-scale release and deepening of kimono related knowledge stimulation and consumption. About 10 thousand people take the exam every year.

Japan holds several silk seminars every year to examine silk and its related industries from different angles. In addition, Japan also focuses on supporting the silk industry innovation, producing high-quality silk products and striving to develop the potential of high-end silk consumption.
       
Silk is an important fiber. Japan takes advantage of its own advantages in the field of high technology to process silk, such as nano processing, making silk not only used in daily necessities, but also extended to medical, automotive and other fields, expanding the use of silk as raw material for fiber. I personally believe that the future silk's achievements in the fiber industry will probably outweigh its achievements in textile industry.

Since 1995, the main product of Korean sericulture is silkworm powder. Silkworm powder is a functional product that helps control the body's diabetes. This year, the function of silkworm powder was identified by the food and Drug Safety Office of Korea. Silkworm chrysalis can cure cancer and enhance immune system.

Silk can be made into cosmetics, soap and toothpaste, and mulberry leaves can be made into ice cream. Relying on these functional silkworm products, sauna and mulberry gardens in Korea were preserved.
      
    In April 2009, the Korean National Assembly issued a new law to support functional silkworms. At present, the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and fisheries is investigating the economic impact of new sericulture, and plans to launch a new sericulture support policy. Korean sericulture will get faster development in the future, and its functional fiber will also become more and more obvious.
