Us Voluntary Recall Of Baby Swimsuit In China

　 In April 30, 2010, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Canadian Department of health and Gap jointly announced the voluntary recall of baby swimsuits in China and Indonesia.

The recalled swimsuit is made of two kinds of nylon elastic fabric. They are blue and white (style 706260) and pink white (style 700452), which are suitable for babies under 24 months old. The style is on the label of swimsuit. The baby swimsuit was sold in the United States in 2~4 2010, and the unit price was 17~20 dollars / piece.

The number of goods recalled was about 6983 (about 6500 in the United States and about 483 in Canada). The reason for the recall is that the lacing of the swimsuit is too short, which causes the plastic ring at the collar to press the baby's throat, causing it to be strangled because of poor breathing. Up to now, Gap has received 2 consumer complaints and no personal injuries. For this reason, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Canadian Department of Health recommended that consumers immediately stop using the recalled baby bathing suits, and contact retail stores or Gap companies for return and full refund.
