Soochow University: "Nano Attachment On Fabric" Won The "Challenge Cup" Special Award.

    Nano In FabricSoochow University

All those who came to visit it were unbelievable that it was here. In a 10 square meter room, walls were mottled, and many experimental solutions were contained in dozens of mineral bottles. Wu Zhixiang, an undergraduate of the school of textile and clothing engineering of Soochow University, was the expectation of his and his colleagues to "nano" on the fabric, which was 10 years ahead of schedule.

In November 2009, Wu Zhixiang and his team took part in the Eleventh National Challenge Cup academic extracurricular academic competition and won the first prize.

Ordinary silk impregnated with Wu Zhixiang, rolled and baked, and produced a miraculous change: silk is the most easily fading fabric. Now it is still fresh and shiny as it is exposed to sunlight and rubbing. Soft silk is only a small piece of black under the candlelight, and the flame is extinguished. It can not be burned; the water poured on the silk seems to drip onto the lotus leaves, and instantly drops bright drops of water, rolling on the silk, and the silk is dry and free from stains.

What excuses the judges most is that Wu Zhixiang's treatment can make the fabric free of any harmful organic ingredients, especially for infants.

Moreover, with this dyeing method, no waste water can be produced in the entire printing and dyeing process.

You know, the existing printing and dyeing industry, the average waste water generated by one meter cloth is 50 kilograms, and the printing and dyeing wastewater accounts for nearly 10% of the total industrial waste water.

In the works of a group of famous school Niu Ren, Wu Zhixiang's achievements made the judges an eye opener.

Just a year ago, an expert in textile industry also lamented that China had to put nanometers on fabrics for at least 10 years.

Unexpectedly, only a year later, the expectations of the whole industry became a reality in the hands of a group of young men.

Wu Zhixiang's method of treatment is called in-situ nano ecological dyeing and functional finishing.

People generally can not call this awkward noun, but soon they know it's good.

Wu Zhixiang sent several pairs of socks that he had handled to his hometown in Haian, where several serious beriberi neighbors were found. The result was less than a month ago, and the beriberi of the neighbors was healed.

"The fabric fibers are firmly wedged into mineral nanoparticles, which are antibacterial, UV resistant and flame retardant. Different nano formulations can enhance the fabric's properties."

The socks of the Wu Zhixiang team have become the pride of Soochow University.

    "Is he?"

Wu Zhixiang, who won the prize, became a celebrity of the school. The student was surprised: This unattractive little fellow has nothing special.

Zheng Min, who has been with him for four years, thinks that it is the right course. "He is not the cleverest, but he is definitely the most resilient and the most comprehensive."

From the beginning of the semester to the lab, Wu Zhixiang spent almost all his weekends and holidays throughout the University.

"A lot of people in front have tried. I never thought of success. I just want to spend a few years doing it with my heart."

Wu Zhixiang told reporters with a smile.

The summer before last, he went to the lab from 8 in the morning and left at 11 in the evening. Every day he grips the 50 milliliters solution with his holding rod. The experiment forbids air flow, can not turn on the air conditioner, and can't open the fan. A monotonous grinding action has been repeated for more than 20 days in hot summer for more than 300 hours.

"For so many days, there was no progress. I could not bear it. I stayed in my dorm for 3 days and finally chose to go back to the lab.

And most of the students did not see the hope of success and gave up.

Like many successful people in the old home, running a printing and dyeing factory as a small boss was once a dream of Wu Zi Xiang, a farmer's son, before he entered university. Now he has to discuss it from time to time.

He graduated this year instead of pursuing a high salary. Instead, he went to a foreign trade company to do sales. "I have to familiarize myself with all aspects of business operation".

Wu Zhixiang in the lab often comes up with the famous quotes from Buffett and Welch, but what he likes most is "to be a man is like water and to act like a mountain".

The heart is filled with the desire to start a business struggle, but it can look down at the road underfoot. The young man is not rushing to make money. He is taking a leisurely step and approaching the goal step by step.

At the end of the interview, Wu Zhixiang once again emphasized what he said when he met: "I was just lucky enough to catch up.

In front of Mr. Zheng Min and the school manager for 8 years, when the time was ripe, the baton came to me.

Teachers and classmates also like his gentle and flexible.
