Chen Yuejuan, a college student village official and an assistant secretary of the Party branch of Shi Fan Village, warmly introduced to us the establishment and operation of the farm, and his words were filled with joy and pride.

Chen Yuejuan, a native Suzhou girl, graduated from the ideological and political education major of Huaiyin Normal University in 2008.

By chance, she took part in the selection of provincial university student village officials. After several rounds of examinations, she was selected to serve as an assistant to the village branch in the village of Shi fan, a high tech Zone.

Looking back at the time when village officials took more than a year, Chen Yuejuan thought that one of the keys to being a good village official is to "integrate into the villagers, and why do you do it".

I remember when I first entered the village, the sun in the village was particularly hot in summer. Chen Yuejuan put on his hat and cloak and made a "fully armed" shade. However, this thing that seemed particularly normal in the city girls was seen differently in the village.

Xiao Chen simply went out and didn't wear anything. He felt close to the villagers.

After that, she acted on the principle of "being a villager before becoming a village official", wearing sportswear, sportswear and doctrine, and went to the villager's home to help farm work.

At the head of the village, the villagers will greet Chen Yuejuan with the initiative, and gradually trust her, trust her affairs to her, and bring fresh fruits and vegetables to her on holidays.

An important task of village officials is to develop village level economy and lead villagers to increase their incomes and become rich.

With the development of modern ecological agriculture, embroidery culture industry and eco-tourism, Chen Yuejuan actively thinks about how to increase the income of the village's annual income of less than 300 thousand yuan, so that the townspeople can share the pastoral beauty of Taihu.

After studying the development course of sightseeing agriculture in Taiwan, and following the village secretary's on-the-spot inspection of Wuzhong District's East and West Mountain Farm's business model, she had the inspiration to put forward the idea of founding the Taihu Farm Ecological Park: dividing the land into small pieces, letting the customers subscribe at a rent of 800 yuan a year, usually by the farmhouse.

At the same time, the farm is also supporting the construction of leisure areas, fishing areas and earth stove living areas. Customers can use the most fresh materials and the most traditional way to cook the most delicious farm food personally, so that people in the city can experience the joy of picking and harvesting as a "city farmer".

With the support of the village secretary, Xiao Chen drafted a plan for the construction and promotion of the village, and signed a land pfer contract with villagers on the same side of the house.

In order to facilitate meeting with the head of household, she often gets up early and gets into the dark. When the villagers do not understand and do not want to pfer the land, she comes to work several times, and asks the village elder to intervene.

In the promotion of foreign countries, she led the village cadres to distribute the brochures to the farm to attract tourists.

It is gratifying to note that the farm now implements a subscription of 15 mu, which has solved more than 10 local landless peasants' employment, and the collective economy of Shi Fan Village has been expanded. It has further improved the village level public service and has built two villagers' leisure and fitness places.

This project also participated in the first Suzhou university student village entrepreneurship competition in September last year. It emerged from the city's dozens of athletes and won the championship in one fell swoop.

Chen Yuejuan was also honored as the third hundred civilized citizen pacesetter in Suzhou.
