Brazil Pavilion Opens The Theme Forum Of "Information Technology And Digital Convergence"

The theme forum of "information technology and digital convergence" was held in Brazil, World Expo, Shanghai in from May 19th to 20th. On the forum, Brazil shared two notable achievements in reducing information imbalance: helping low-income people buy computers and expanding Internet access on campus.

Taking the theme of "information technology and digital convergence" as the theme, this forum focuses on demonstrating the innovative and advanced system of Brazil in improving government services and Internet applications, as well as the considerable progress made in the use of information technology to improve people's daily life and provide convenient equipment, services and applications. At the same time, as one of the five thematic forums sponsored by the Brazil Pavilion during the World Expo period, the forum provided an important platform for China and Pakistan to exchange ideas and experiences and explore new opportunities for cooperation in economic and urban development. Guests from the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai economic and Information Committee, Shanghai Information Association, universities and IT enterprises attended the forum.

Pedro Wendler, director of the Brazil Pavilion, said that the best practices shared in this Forum provide a model for other countries to enhance the convenience of technology and provide scientific and technological knowledge to a wider range of people. This is also the key to understanding Brazil's successful experience in this field and the importance of communication and cooperation between China and Pakistan.

It is reported that the Brazil Pavilion will also hold a series of forums in the future. The forum topics include: "science, technology and innovation", "energy to promote Brazil's urban development", "water and development", "urban regeneration" and so on.
