ECHA Release Description System Guide To Use The Latest Edition

Recently, the US chemical Administration (ECHA) released the latest version of the Descriptor System guide for information requirements and chemical safety assessment.

The system is currently running on the ECHA website and assists the Registrar to use Chesar tools to prepare chemical safety reports correctly.

This guide includes 6 standard options to describe the exact use of registered REACH files, as well as the selection of titles.

This update introduces descriptive elements, including the surrounding environment, to help workers and consumers better understand how to describe the system.

The update of the guide to use the system (chapter twelve) is part of the overall information needs and chemical assessment. It is also the result of close collaboration between the chemical assessment and reporting tools in the industry. The reporting tool, known as "Chesar", will start operation in April.

According to the ECHA guidance procedure, after consultation between the expert group and the risk assessment committee, the document will be endorsed by the REACH and CLP committees and members.

The new version of the description system guide is currently in English and will be plated into 21 language.
