    He told reporters that the discipline of materials science of South China University of Technology is a key discipline of the state and the key construction discipline of "211 Project" and "985 Project". It has the National Engineering Research Center of polymer new molding equipment, the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of education of polymer processing engineering and the Key Laboratory of high performance and functional polymer materials in Guangdong Province, with superior experimental conditions.

    The school also has a series of advanced equipment such as polymer materials preparation, modification, structural characterization, performance testing and molding processing, which basically meets the testing requirements of this subject.

    Innovation is multifaceted, and the most important is theoretical innovation and methodological innovation.

    I always feel that everything in the world is vastly different, but there are also important commonalities. For example, the macroscopic structure of the solar system is very similar to the microscopic atomic structure.

    Therefore, at this stage, the intersection of disciplines will contribute to technological innovation.


    Reporter: do you work in Jiangmen for a long time, or do you work in Jiangmen occasionally? How long will you work in Jiangmen?


    Ge Ming Liang: at present, I mainly work in Jiangmen. This project may take 2 to 3 years.
