Russian Officials: Some Russian Products Have Changed.

According to the Russian official announcement, since July 1, 2010, the electrical and electronic products contacted with food will no longer need to apply for health certification, instead of the Russian government's registration certificate. The health certificate issued before July 1, 2010 can be used in January 1, 2012.

Previously, due to the relatively vague product range of health certification standards, except for electrical products that are in contact with food, ordinary products such as laptops or computer screens were required to apply for health certification. Some products without screens often applied for certification of health certification at the request of manufacturers.

Now, the new Russian government registration certificate only regulates the electronic and electrical products that are in contact with food.

So far, products that need to be registered with the Russian government include:

Beverages: mineral water, bottled drinking water, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, beer;

Specialty foods: including

Transgenic food;

Food additives, condiments, plant extracts, microbial and bacterial starters, and technical aids, including enzymes, are used as condiments and raw materials.

Cosmetics and oral hygiene

Pesticides, pests and deratization tools;

Household chemicals;

Potentially hazardous chemical and biological substances;

Materials, equipment, installations and other technical means intended for drinking water supply;

Personal hygiene products for children and adults, children's products less than 3 years old, nutritious meals and nutritious products, child care and hygiene supplies, children's clothing;

Food products (cooking utensils, tableware, equipment) except food.

With the revival of the Russian economy, its domestic market demand has gradually expanded. Under the situation that domestic goods are hard to meet demand, cost-effective Chinese products are favored in Russia, and imports from China have increased dramatically.

It is understood that the commodities exported to Russia in Ningbo are mainly concentrated in knitted garments, footwear, household appliances, kitchen and toilet products, children's products, lighters, batteries, feed additives and other consumer goods.

In the first half of this year, Ningbo exported more than 5800 goods to Russia, an increase of 82.9% over the same period last year, with a value of US $186 million, a double increase over the same period last year.

Russia's trade policy has great changes, and the successful registration certificate of enterprises will have a positive role in promoting export. Inspection and quarantine experts suggest that if the product wants to stand firmly in Russia and strengthen its market penetration to Russian exports, the enterprises should respond quickly and prepare the application certificates early. On the one hand, they should actively follow up the new demands of the Russian side, strengthen and improve the quality and health management system, take effective measures in the whole process of raw materials procurement, acceptance, product processing, production process, storage, inspection and quarantine, and strengthen health management and control, and implement the awareness of health quality in all aspects.

On the other hand, we should improve the technological level of production equipment and hardware facilities, strengthen technological improvement, adjust the production mode, ensure that export products meet the requirements of safety, hygiene and environmental protection, and maintain the good growth of our products to Russia.
