According to the statistics of Nanjing customs, Jiangsu achieved import and export 214 billion 600 million US dollars in the first half of this year, an increase of 49.1% over the same period last year.

Of which, exports of US $122 billion 480 million, an increase of 44.4%, and imports of US $92 billion 120 million, an increase of 56%.

Judging from the national ranking, Jiangsu's imports and exports account for 15.8% of the country's total.

Jiangsu's foreign trade has shown some new features this year.

First, the processing trade rose gradually, achieving import and export 117 billion 960 million US dollars, an increase of 48%, an increase of 4.5 percentage points over that of general trade.

Exports of US $72 billion 860 million, an increase of 42.1%, is also 1.1 percentage points higher than that of general trade.

Two, the growth rate of private enterprises is much higher than that of foreign invested enterprises.

Foreign investment enterprises imported and exported 161 billion 80 million US dollars, an increase of 47.6% compared with the same period last year, and the import and export of private enterprises reached 31 billion 190 million US dollars, an increase of 62%.

Three, the export situation of the EU has improved, the rapid growth of imports and exports to ASEAN and China Taiwan, and the relatively small increase in exports to the United States, Japan and South Korea.

In the first half of this year, Jiangsu's imports and exports to the EU reached US $39 billion 780 million, an increase of 49%.

Of which, exports amounted to 31 billion 230 million US dollars, an increase of 52.8%.

Over the same period, the US imports and exports reached 31 billion 410 million US dollars, an increase of 31.9%, of which exports were US $25 billion 570 million, an increase of 29.9%.

Four, the export of electromechanical products and high-tech products is strong.

Exports of mechanical and electrical products increased by 46.6%, and imports of new and high technology products increased by $85 billion 180 million, an increase of 51.3%.

Customs officials said that Jiangsu's foreign trade continued to improve in the first half of the year, but it should not be blindly optimistic. There are still many uncertainties in the international and domestic markets.

Taking the newly issued export tax rebate policy as an example, steel, nonferrous metals and chemical products are the traditional superior products exported by our province in the 406 cancellations of export tax rebates.

In the first half of the year, the total export volume of the province's abolition of export rebates was 1 billion 470 million US dollars, an increase of 1.1 times compared with the same period last year. It accounted for 15.8% of the total export tax rebate exports in the same period, while Guangdong and Shanghai accounted for 6%.
