    Zhu Shan, a researcher at Shenyang aircraft design and Research Institute, said that carbon fiber composite material is a new type of structural material which emerged in the middle of 1960s. It has many advantages, such as high strength, high stiffness, good layer design, good fatigue and fracture resistance, good corrosion resistance, good dimensional stability, and large area overall molding. It has been widely used in aerospace vehicles.

    Carbon fiber composites are four advanced structural materials of aircraft body together with aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and alloy steel.


    Experts attending the meeting believed that the high performance carbon fiber composite material industry has broad application prospects in China.

    In view of the urgent demand for high-performance structural materials, such as energy, resources, environment, manufacturing, pportation and other national economic pillar industries, we have developed carbon fiber composite materials that meet the needs of aerospace, high-speed rail pit and large-scale wind power generation equipment.
