My friend's father left the farm in North Carolina at the age of 17 and went to work in Baltimore aircraft company.

Lu Di grew up in Joe leet, Illinois. He heard about the legend of Saint Mary's University from childhood and dreamed of going to the green field to play football one day.

Friends told him that his academic performance was not good enough, and he was not a good sports player.

So Lu Di abandoned his dream and worked as a worker in a power plant.

Not long after a friend died in an accident at work, Lu Di was shocked and suddenly realized that life was so short that you probably didn't have the chance to pursue his dream.

In 1972, when he was 23 years old, he read Indiana San cross junior college.
