State Grid: Four Major Measures To Deal With "Electricity Shortage" To Ensure Power Supply

The national Power Grid Corp will convene the summer power supply meeting on peak 23, and Shuai Junqing, deputy general manager of the company, said in an interview with reporters that four major measures will be taken to deal with the problem.

Shuai Junqing said that in view of the early arrival of the "electricity shortage" this year, the State Grid will take the following measures to ensure the power supply: carefully organize inter regional power support.

The capacity of the State Grid has reached 31 million 670 thousand kilowatts, and this summer will give full play to the p provincial inter provincial pmission capacity, with a focus on supporting the serious shortage of electricity.

It will arrange the p regional delivery of 13 million 650 thousand kilowatts of the largest power in North China to 13 million 470 thousand kilowatts of East China's largest power and 7 million 830 thousand kilowatts of the largest power in Central China.

Active demand side management.

We must strictly control the "two high" enterprises and overcapacity industries and reduce the unreasonable demand for electricity.

Cooperate with local governments to improve peak and valley TOU price, strictly implement differential electricity price in high energy consuming industries, and increase the regulation of price leverage.

In accordance with the principle of "limited warranty", we should work out a well ordered and orderly electricity utilization plan to ensure that the power supply is not sluice, and give priority to ensuring the power consumption of important users, such as residents' lives, hospitals and schools, which involve public interests and national security.

Strengthening power grid security

Speed up the construction of p provincial interprovincial power grids.

Speeding up the construction progress of UHV pilot demonstration and extension project, Jinping to South of Jiangsu UHVDC, Qinghai Tibet DC and other construction projects, speeding up the preliminary work of a number of UHV power grid planning projects, and striving for early approval and construction.

According to Shuai Jun Qing, there are four reasons for this year's "electricity shortage" coming: the development mode of electricity needs to be changed; the construction of cross regional power grids is lagging behind; the contradiction between supply and demand of electric coal is prominent; and electricity consumption is prominent.
