Pakistan 1/3 Exports Of Textiles And Clothing Are Facing Decline.
In the post quota era in May 17th,
Pakistan
1/3 of textiles and clothing are threatened by regional competitors in the European Union and the US market, an official official said.
The Pakistan Trade Development Council conducted a survey entitled "threats to the export of textiles and clothing in Pakistan in the post quota era: identification of different levels of production lines".
The report analyzes the competitiveness of textiles and clothing products before and after quota.
Among the 551 categories of textiles and clothing products, there are 120 categories of products facing threats in the post quota era.
These products comprise 21.5% of the selected category, accounting for 33.7% of total textile and clothing exports.
In addition, 19% of the 106 categories of products are soft again in the post quota era.
Among the 120 categories of products that are threatened, 29 products are considered to be the core threat product series, accounting for more than 90% of the total threat products.
In the face of these threats
tariff
Some of the products belong to the series.
Low added value
And low export earnings, analysts said.
Experimental evidence shows that among the 120 categories of products that are threatened, Pakistan has lost the largest share of its market share to China and India, which has experienced a low growth rate.
In addition, Pakistan has not been able to control its status in special products, such as before and after the quota era.
The results imply that the 120 categories of threatened products in Pakistan are more common in the post quota era than those in India, China and Bangladesh.
Pakistan has lost its share of the market to those products whose core is threatened. China has experienced rapid growth in world exports, and India's market share has been lost in terms of low growth.
In Pakistan's main import markets, such as the European Union and the United States, fierce competition is expected, because the protection of Chinese textiles and clothing is terminated, analysts said.
In terms of competitive status, India has 13 competitive advantages in 29 categories of core threat products in Pakistan, 14 in China and 7 in Bangladesh.
Interestingly, only two products in China and India belong to the ordinary type.
Therefore, the export threat to Pakistan in the post quota era is mutually exclusive. Or in the two main import markets of the European Union and the United States, China and India are separate.
