As the characteristic discipline and specialty of Tianjin University of Technology, the teaching facilities of the college have been continuously improved. A first-class CAD laboratory has been built in China, and has been authorized by the LECTRA company of France to dress CAD technology training center, Adobe authorized training center and Canada PAD (China) training center.

The school has professional workshops and related facilities and facilities such as modeling, clothing technology, sculpture, pottery, screen printing, fiber art, photography, lacquer art, forging copper and so on.

Signed a long-term cooperative education agreement with the Oriental Bentley culture development center, one of the most influential Chinese cultural media and model circles, providing stable practice bases and employment opportunities for students performing and related majors.

The faculty has a reasonable structure and rich experience. The senior professional titles of art and design majors account for 35% of the total number of teachers, and teachers from 2/3 are returned from abroad.

Teachers have published dozens of teaching materials and monographs. In the past 08 years, 23 teachers have been identified as the editors and participating teachers of the Ministry of art and design major in 11th Five-Year. They are responsible for the preparation of 21 teaching materials.

Art major and professional direction

Tianjin University of Technology's art major has been running since 1984. It has a history of more than twenty years, enjoys a high reputation in the society, and has trained a large number of high-level talents with the combination of art and technology.

Now there are art design (under four professional directions), advertising, industrial design, animation, performance (under four professional directions) and radio and television Choreographer (under two professional directions) six undergraduate majors, design art, art professional master, industrial design engineering three master's degree.

(1) art design major

There are four professional directions in this major: fashion art design, visual communication design, environmental art design and public art design.

1. clothing art design direction to develop high-level talents engaged in fashion design.

The professional courses offered include: the history of Chinese and Western clothing, the principles of clothing design, clothing design, clothing structure design, clothing material science, fashion drawing techniques, garment making process, three-dimensional cutting and so on.

2. the direction of visual communication design is to train high-level professionals engaged in product packaging design, book decoration design and advertising art design.

The professional courses offered in this field include graphic creativity, packaging design, logo design, poster design, CIS design, print advertisement design, display design, advertising photography, etc.

3. environmental art design direction to train high-level professionals engaged in landscape design, interior design and furniture design.
