Sichuan Fine Art Institute (14) in 1938, Li Youhang, Shen Fuwen, Lei Guiyuan, Pang Xunqin and other hot blooded young people, in Chengdu founded the "China craft society" to express the meaning of revitalizing China.

In 1940, the Sichuan Academy of art was founded by Li Youhang as principal.

At that time, there was another place in Chengdu, which was also a place where talents gathered. Wang Zhaowen, Zhang Daqian, Xu Beihong, Huang Binhong, Shi Yan, Ye Zhengchang, Cheng Lina and so on had taught and taught there. After that, they merged with Sichuan Art College and renamed Chengdu art college.

In 1950, with the Liberation Army advancing into the southwest, a group of art fighters went down from Xi'an to South China. They were part of the Academy of Arts of Northwest military and Political University, headed by He Long, and arrived in Chongqing to establish the southwest people's College of art.

In 1953, the whole country carried out the adjustment of departments, the painting department of Chengdu art college, the Department of Applied Arts and the Fine Arts Department of the southwest people's Institute of fine arts, and set up the southwest Fine Arts Academy. The merger of the two schools is not only a combination of talents, but also a combination of experts and soldiers, and the integration of Western art education and traditional culture and revolutionary thinking.

In 1959, it was officially renamed Sichuan Fine Art Institute.

The name of the school is written by Mr. Guo Moruo himself.

There are 549 full-time teachers and 68 part-time teachers.

There were 65 professors, 100 associate professors, 146 lecturers, and 4700 students of all kinds.

The college is recruiting students nationwide.

Our institute has the right to grant master's degrees in fine arts and design arts, with 19 master's degrees.

Fine arts and design art are the key disciplines at the provincial level, among which the oil painting, sculpture and decoration art design are the dominant disciplines of the key disciplines.

Our institute has set up 15 laboratories, namely, oil painting technology laboratory, sculpture laboratory, print laboratory, ceramic laboratory, industrial design laboratory, clothing laboratory, image and multimedia laboratory, and computer information network center.

The Museum of art was awarded the Chongqing Museum of art by the Chongqing municipal government. It is the only provincial art museum in China.

Academic achievements:

In the course of 70 years of development, the school has formed a school running concept of "close to life, serving the people, knowing equal importance, rewarding new people, opening up compatible and keeping pace with the times". The teachers and students of the school's art design, industrial design, film animation, architecture and other majors have created good economic and social benefits for the local economic construction and creative industry development in the aspects of corporate image strategy planning, brand building, product development, ecological design, urban construction, film and television animation creation, and further expanded the social impact of the school and consolidated its academic status. Talent training:

The school began to recruit graduate students in 1979, and the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in 1982 approved the school as the first batch of granting of bachelor's degree and postgraduate master's degree, and the empowerment point of master's degree in fine arts and design.

In 2006, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved the school as the empowerment point of master degree in arts.

The school now has 14 undergraduate majors, including painting, sculpture, fine arts, art design, art and design, industrial design, advertising, architecture, landscape architecture, photography, animation, radio and television editing, drama, film and television art design, educational technology and so on. Graduate education in the master's degree program of the first class discipline of school art has three specialties, namely fine arts, design art, radio and television art, etc., aiming at recruiting 20 graduate students from the international and domestic fields: art history, Chinese painting, oil painting, print, sculpture, art education, art and design history, dyeing and weaving, clothing, decoration, digital media, ring art, architectural art, decorative art, lacquer painting art, ceramic art, industrial design, animation, photography, film and television, etc.

At present, there are 500 graduate students in various specialties. In recent years, the employment rate of graduate students has reached 100%.

Recent achievements in creative research and teaching:

In the past five years, the school's creative and scientific research achievements have been outstanding. The center for contemporary visual arts research has been approved as the key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences in Chongqing. Campus Construction:

The school campus is divided into Huang Jue Ping campus and Hu Xi campus. The old campus of Huang jping Ping is located at No. 108 Huang Jie Ping Street, Kowloon Po, Chongqing, covering an area of 200 mu. It is a "garden type campus" designated by the municipal government.

Hu Xi campus covers an area of 1000 mu, located in the university town of Shapingba, Chongqing, adjacent to Chongqing University and Chongqing Normal University. School of design art

The predecessor of the school of design and art was the Department of Arts and crafts, founded by Li Youhang, Mr. Shen Fuwen, a famous Chinese arts and crafts educator.

Over the past 60 years, after several generations of hard work, we have formed distinctive characteristics in teaching and design, and trained a large number of design talents for the country.

In order to adapt to the development of the situation, in 1992, our institute adjusted the arts and crafts department to three departments: decoration, ring art, decoration art and craft design.

With the deepening of educational reform and the integration of professional disciplines, three departments were merged in 1998, and the Department of design art and industrial design was established. In 2002, the office resources were effectively utilized, and the structure of subjects was more reasonable. At present, a more perfect and scientific design teaching system has been formed. In 2001, the discipline of design art was rated as the provincial key discipline.

Our department is mainly undergraduate education, and actively develops postgraduate education and international student education.

With scientific research teaching, highlighting professional characteristics, expanding professional orientation, vigorously developing new disciplines and interdisciplinary subjects that are closely integrated with the market, actively adapting to the needs of national economic and cultural development, and forming a new discipline with innovative characteristics and international standards.

The school of design, Sichuan Fine Art Institute (2 sheets) is a new teaching mode that combines modern design education with market practice. It constantly deepens the teaching reform, emphasizes the professional characteristics, and establishes a teaching and research and market interactive teaching system according to the educational facilities and conditions that international design education should have. Three. Admission
