In May, vegetables, fruits and vegetables increased in succession, and vegetable prices rose or fell, showing a general downward trend.

Among the 26 conventional vegetable varieties consumed by residents in Hangzhou, vegetables such as cabbage, leeks and cucumbers have remained stable, and soybeans, eggplants and towel gourd have fallen to varying degrees.

Affected by seasonal factors, fresh vegetables, fruits, aquatic products and other fresh commodity prices fell by 2.9%, 0.7% and 5.2% respectively from the previous month, which is the main factor that affects the price stability of food products this month.

On the contrary, grain prices rose by 9.3% over the same period of May, due to the expected reduction in summer drought.

In addition, the price of eggs has risen significantly. The price of eggs has increased by one quarter earlier than in previous years.

Oil, meat, poultry and egg prices rose 20.6%, 17.3% and 18.4% respectively, all of which hit a new high of single month growth this year.

In addition to food, the recent surge in prices of Chinese herbal medicines has also attracted attention.

For example, the retail price of Radix heterophylla in March of last year was 0.16 yuan /10 grams, now it has risen to 0.994 yuan /10 grams.

Statistics show that in May, Chinese herbal medicines and Chinese patent medicines in Hangzhou increased by 10%.

Industrial consumer goods prices rose 1.3% over the same period last month, with a steady trend.

Gasoline and diesel rose by around 20%.

According to the Municipal Bureau of statistics, CPI rose 1.3 percentage points last year (33.3%), and the new price increase affected 2.6 percentage points (66.7%). The price increase momentum is still strong. It is necessary to pay close attention to the price fluctuation of the important commodities, especially grain and other important commodities, so as to maintain the smooth operation of CPI.

In May, Zhejiang's CPI rose 5.3%, up 0.1 percentage points from last month.

There were 15 kinds of price increases in the 16 kinds of food investigated, and the total price of food increased by 11.5%.

Among them, pork prices rose 37.3%, egg prices rose 19.7%, poultry prices rose 17.9%.

The price increase of foreign food, liquid milk and dairy products, cakes, biscuits, bread, other foods, tea and beverages, condiments all reached a new high in the year.

But the prices of communication tools, entertainment and durable consumer goods, pportation and Western medicine continued to decline.

Meanwhile, the CPI in May, which was released at the same time yesterday, rose 5.5% over the same period last year, reaching a new high in the year.
