The Current Situation Of Chinese Sewing Equipment In India Market: It Has Been Developing &Nbsp, But It Is Difficult.
The South Asian and Southeast Asian markets represented by India for China's sewing equipment
industry
The meaning is extraordinary.
As early as 2005 and 2006, "go to India!" became a loud slogan in the industry.
"India
market
The development potential is so great that it is entirely possible to become the world's second largest garment exporter after China. "
This is the 2006 regional manager of the Southeast Asia market of gemstone sewing machine group, Ma Xiehui, speaking in an interview with our reporter.
In the past five years, what has been the result of China's sewing equipment in the India market? Yang Xiao Jing, Secretary General of the China Sewing Machinery Association, concluded: "India has been developing the market, but it has been struggling."
It is understood that the 2005 and 2006 years were a climax period for Chinese sewing enterprises to enter India. Taking embroidery machines as an example, only 100 thousand machines exported from China to India and other Southeast Asian countries in 2005 alone.
However, in 2007 and 2008, the export volume has experienced a sharp decline, falling to more than 40 thousand units per year, and the export volume has continued to this year.
Yang Xiaojing analyzed the reasons: now recalling that the year was too optimistic to estimate the demand of India market, many enterprises blindly expanded production and formed a market bubble, so that many Chinese counterparts launched a price war in the India market.
Price
War enterprises are miserable.
Chen Zhenming, general manager of Zhuji Sheng Ming Electrical and Mechanical Manufacturing Co., Ltd., told reporters in an interview: "India market demand is a large number of low-end products, large volume, low price."
Low price can be the advantage of Chinese products, but at the same time, it can also become a disadvantage.
Compared with the sewing equipment in Japan, Germany and South Korea, the price advantage of Chinese products is obvious, which is also the primary reason for India enterprises to choose Chinese products.
But when many Chinese enterprises poured into India in a rush, the process of "conquering the city" became a process of reducing prices.
The direct result of low prices is to dilute the profits of Chinese enterprises and increase the pressure on them to open up the India market.
But from a deeper level, low prices have also brought unnecessary trade frictions and barriers to China's sewing machine exports.
The vicious price war led to the chaos of export order, which naturally caused some "precautions" of India's local enterprises and customs to China's exports.
India has already started anti-dumping investigations on Chinese made sewing spare parts. Although there is no clear anti-dumping measure for the whole machine, the huge products of Chinese enterprises have been confiscated by India customs.
The low price of groups also makes some enterprises miserable.
Gao Jiaping is Haimen sewing machine needle boss, he said: "I have been doing business with India directly for seven or eight years, and have been doing my own brand. After 2008, the brand advantage began to emerge.
But many of them began to imitate our products. Because the difference between the products we produce is not obvious, many India enterprises are willing to purchase products knowing that they are counterfeit products.
In this way, whose price can not be raised.
Although there is still a gap between Japan and Germany, our products can be sold at almost the same price as that of Taiwan products, and now we can only rely on prices lower than Taiwan to win the market.
We have been calling for quality inspection, customs and other departments to increase the intensity of the attack, but shouting is shouting, the effect is not obvious.
We must strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights.
China has the strength to produce sewing machines with high price performance ratio because of the complete industrial chain as the support behind: raw material to spare parts production, whole machine production, business logistics, Chinese enterprises should make good use of the industrial chain, not just make it a low price capital, but also make it a prerequisite for high performance to become cost-effective.
Independent research and development to break through price war
Before and after the 2007 India market shrank, many Chinese enterprises were forced to withdraw, while the rest of the enterprises were still reluctant to support them at a low price, but there were also some enterprises in which they broke through to seize the India market.
Tianjin BAOYING Computer Machinery Co., Ltd. is the creator and owner of Fu Yi brand.
As early as 1998, Baoying began to "test water" in India.
Today, Fu Yi embroidery machine has a certain reputation in the industry of India.
Unlike most of China's embroidery machines sold in India, the price of Fu Yi embroidery machine is higher, breaking the inertia thought of "Chinese goods are cheap goods" in India's eyes.
Then what is the secret weapon to support the high price of the Fu Yi brand? Mr. Bao, India regional manager of Baoying company, told reporters: "our main mechanical and electrical integration equipment, the key is that we can develop our own electronic control system.
And many colleagues want to purchase electronic control system from enterprises specializing in the production of computer control panels.
In this way, not only the added value of our products is improved, but also the after-sale maintenance is very convenient, otherwise the problem of electric control is going back to the original factory.
It is precisely based on such research and development advantages that Tianjin BAOYING has not become a victim of price war, but has achieved an increase in annual sales volume in the India market.
Although Fu Yi is considered a successful brand, "technology" is still a tough job for Chinese sewing machine to open up the India market.
In terms of embroidery machines, "although the revolutions of 7000 to 8000 revolutions of other sewing machines only need 2000 to 3000 turns, they are not very difficult, but there are still several technical difficulties to be overcome.
First, how to synchronize embroidery from 40 heads to 90 heads is not simply a matter of increasing the number of heads. It involves many technical barriers. Second, how to achieve embroidery embroidery with rotary embroidery heads; third, how to develop from single embroidery to composite embroidery, such as Quilting (embroidery).
Yang Xiaojing talked about it in detail.
If China's embroidery machine enterprises can submerge their minds and let these practical technical problems break through, the price of machines will naturally be raised.
As we all know, India market needs low price products, but they also need high-performance products. Compared with low price, we believe that excellent sewing effect and faster sewing efficiency can attract local clothing companies.
Yang Xiaojing also revealed that at the just concluded exhibition in Frankfurt, the similar products abroad showed the embroidery of head rotation, which made the embroidery process more flexible, and increased the saturation of embroidery and increased the number of patterns.
Moreover, foreign countries are also studying how to make embroidery and cloth better combine, all of which have a strong reference for Chinese embroidery machine enterprises.
Walk into India and go global
One point that needs to be added is that embroidery machines occupy an important proportion in the sewing equipment exported to India.
Why is the demand for embroidery machines so great in India? As we all know, the "Sari" is the traditional dress of India women, and the beautiful sari and embroidery machine is indispensable.
Therefore, it is no problem for Chinese embroidery machine enterprises to target India. What we should do next is how to maintain the market by improving the technological content of equipment.
India is an important overseas market, but it is not the only overseas market. Moreover, India's capacity is still different from our expectations five years ago. "Leaving India" is just a small step in China's sewing equipment. It may be open and bright around the world.
According to statistics, 80% to 90% of the world's embroidery machines come from China, and China exports more than 40 thousand units each year.
Can such a production meet global demand? The answer should be No.
Industry analysis, next, the global demand for embroidery machine in quantity will also increase.
"Apart from India, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South America are also great potential markets. Do not limit the market to India. Once the South Asian market shrinks, other markets will not develop, and it will outweigh the gains."
Yang Xiaojing finally added.
