Shandong Vocational Institute of Clothing Technology is the only full-time full-time clothing college in Shandong Province approved by the Shandong Provincial People's government and the Ministry of education for record. It is also the first state-run clothing vocational college in the country. The college is located in Tai'an, a famous cultural and tourism city in Shandong province. It is located in Taishan scenic area. It is famous for its famous Dongyue Taishan. It is located in the south of the 5000 year old cultural river. The College started construction in 1999, started construction in May 2000 and started school in October. Dr. Ceng Xianzi, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the board of directors of Hongkong Goldlion group, wrote the name of the school for the college. Comrade Wang Wenyuan, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, spoke highly of his visit to the college. In September 2001, the Shandong provincial government approved the college as a full-time state-level general higher education institution, and the Ministry of Education announced the record in November.
 

The college now covers an area of 600 mu, with a floor area of 180 thousand square meters, and has more than 8000 students. It has developed into a university with a reasonable scale, excellent educational quality, remarkable school running efficiency, and a certain degree of influence and popularity in and outside the province. It has been among the advanced ranks of vocational schools in Shandong and even in the whole country. The Institute has a teaching unit, including the Department of garment engineering and management, the Department of fashion art, the Department of decoration and art design, the Department of international trade, the Department of information engineering, the Department of tourism, the Department of electrical and mechanical engineering, and the basic department. The college has perfect infrastructure, advanced teaching facilities and excellent running conditions. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is over 3000 yuan. There are 1000 famous pieces of clothing and electromechanical equipment such as Japanese heavy machinery and so on. There are more than 1000 teaching computers, 20 sets of multimedia audio-visual equipment, and nearly 280 thousand books and materials.

The Institute has formed a variety of personnel training systems such as general specialties, adult undergraduate courses, on-the-job postgraduates and other six key disciplines, such as clothing, art, finance and trade, tourism, electrical and mechanical, information and so on. At present, there are a number of educational levels such as general specialties (Higher Vocational), counterpart specialties (Higher Vocational), five year colleges and adult colleges, adult and postgraduate courses, the same educational level applying for master's degree and postgraduate degree in service. For Beijing, Shanghai, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Guangdong, Fujian and other 28 provinces, regions and municipalities enrollment. It has 28 majors, namely, fashion art design, costume design and production, animation design and production, international economy and trade, tourism management, computer network technology, mechatronics technology, numerical control technology and so on. "Clothing structure design" and many other courses were rated as provincial quality courses.

 

The faculty has strong teaching and scientific research achievements. There are 292 full-time teachers, all of whom have bachelor's degree or above, bachelor's degree or above, 65 of them have master's degree, 99 of them are associate professors and above titles, and the majority of teachers are "double quality teachers". At the same time, 50 experts, teachers and foreign teachers with high level and rich teaching experience have been invited to teach. The Institute has constantly innovating the teaching mode and reforming the educational concept. It has introduced the case teaching of Harvard University, the tutorial system of undergraduate education and the credit system, and the quality of education is excellent. More than 200 students won prizes in the national, provincial clothing, information and electromechanical competitions. In recent years, it has undertaken more than 10 scientific research projects at the provincial level, and published hundreds of research papers in core journals. The college has opened up the "four passageways" for students' success, and has achieved the goal of "let all graduates have suitable jobs, let most graduates have satisfactory jobs, and let some graduates have ideal jobs". First, enter the large and medium-sized enterprises and institutions within and outside the province. The employment rate of graduates has reached over 98%, and two has been promoted to undergraduate colleges for further study. More than 400 graduates have obtained postgraduates and undergraduates from universities such as Nanjing University and Shandong University. Three of them are studying abroad. More than 100 students are studying and training in Japan, Korea, Russia and other countries, and the four is to start their own businesses. More than 100 students founded their own company.
