Who Is The Most Needed Person In Business?
I met three friends by chance, and their stories made me ponder deeply:
The first friend is a vice president of an enterprise in Jiangsu, in charge of foreign trade marketing. In his first year in office, sales rose from three to 30 million in the past 30 million years, and the general manager praised him at the end of the year meeting. After reading the narration of three friends, three different roles emerged in my mind: those who can do things, those who can lead them, can. Judge the hour and size up the situation People. I remember an entrepreneur who said such an image. He said, "have you ever used a compasses? By twisting the handle, one foot of the compasses is firmly fastened, and one foot can draw elegant curves. It is the handle of the compass, and the motive force of the enterprise comes from this. How to fulfill the mission of an enterprise requires fixing feet and moving feet. The role of fixed feet is to stabilize, stand and work in a deep and solid way, while the function of moving feet is to go out and paint the circle big and perfect. In our enterprise, setting foot is to make a thorough and solid person for the products, specialties and markets of the enterprise, and to move the company to the frontier, to lead the team to fight in the battlefield, to cut off the competitors and to make the business bigger and stronger.
Just like compasses, enterprises are inseparable from those who work in a solid way, and they can not do without soldiers. They also have an irreplaceable value for enterprises.
I also admire a Italian who was hired by my client. This enterprise is located in Dongguan, Guangdong, specializing in the production of shoes last shoe, exported to all parts of the country, enjoys high reputation in the world. There is a very technical process called die cutting in the process of making shoe last. The general work is to copy the corresponding dies according to the products provided by customers, and then code and batch production by complex NC machines. The chief die maker employed by this factory is a more than 70 year old man from Italy. The old man lives in a five star hotel near the company. He is received by the general manager's special car every day, and in his studio he carefully carves the shoe models, using ordinary files and grinding wheels, but every knife and every moment is absorbed. The boss of the company told me that although there are ten die makers in the enterprise, there are still no level of him at present. The key knives still need him to come. The old man is employed with high salary. He takes a paid vacation every year for two months, and works eight hours a day. It is estimated that no one denies that although he is not able to communicate with others, let alone his understanding and prospects of the industry, he will not bring his team and flicker, but he is still the most valuable person in this company.
Speaking of two extreme but real examples, my views have been expressed very clearly. The two category is the most valuable person to the enterprise. One is to ensure the steady, continuous and in-depth development of the existing business for the enterprises. Two different roles determine the different characteristics of these two groups of people, and the judgment of their values should be different.
The former group is divided into two situations. One is the person who holds the core of the enterprise, the important technology and the market customers. The other is the person who has an unusual loyalty to the enterprise and can guarantee the stability of the enterprise and can go with the boss to "go up the mountain to attack guerrilla" under the background of personnel changes. However, their leadership, management ability and strategic vision are not necessarily strong or even bad, but their existence is essential only because they are rare, professional and loyal. The evaluation of these people should not be full of blame, nor should we just look at the present value. Comrade Mao Zedong's famous phrase "looking at the scenery and looking at the amount" deserves our deep consideration.
The latter type of people are mostly those who are generous and sad. They have courage, vision, popularity, and call for action. They must have such a person in their pioneering work. But such people also have temper, character and aspirations. For such a person, the value of them should be more respected, affirmed and recognized.
We should not expect a person or a group to have two roles or two qualities. Innovative enterprises It is already a blessing for enterprises to manage, manage and motivate the above two groups of people, and it is already a high demand for entrepreneurs and management mechanisms.
