Although the quilt pieces are colorful, Jin Yuanshan has never received any professional color training. "I am a statistician, I need an abacus, but the abacus has two colors." Jin Yuanshan quipped.

To have such understanding of color today, Jin Yuanshan accumulated from the practice of life. "Walking outside, I will pay attention to the color everywhere, even if I don't miss the color on the mosaic. People always ask me why I have a good grasp of colors, which may be related to my observation. Especially after touching the quilt, the observation becomes more concentrated. Wherever I go, I read books. I will read any pictorial. I will think about which color is better here or there. I will take notes after I go back and record which colors match more harmonize.
