According to the expert, as early as in August 21, 2006, workers in a shoe factory in Jinhua Town, Wuhou District, suffered from toluene poisoning when they used to brush their viscose in the workshop, and several workers were rushed to the local hospital for treatment.

More than a year later, there were two toluene poisoning and contact reaction accidents in two shoe factories in Jinhua town.

The expert said that regardless of any nature of the enterprise, there is an obligation to carry out labor health protection education for workers, for toxic and harmful jobs, we must take corresponding protective measures, and issue masks, gloves, wind caps and other related labor and health protection products.

As far as possible to avoid the use of toxic and harmful chemical raw materials, the relevant departments should regularly detect the working environment of the relevant factories, so as to standardize the operation procedures of individual factories and manual workshops, and strengthen the awareness of labor hygiene protection.
