Since September last year, since the beginning of research and compilation, Guangzhou has been strongly supported by the world trade dress city, the first avenue clothing city and the Research Institute expert consultants and many institutions and people. Subsequently, Li Kailuo, President of Guangdong fashion dress industry economics research institute, officially released the annual Competitiveness Report of Guangdong garment industry.

This report is divided into six independent chapters, including the general theory of industrial competitiveness, the analysis of the quality of industrial operation, the competitiveness analysis of industrial clusters, the analysis of brand competitiveness, the analysis of professional market competitiveness, and the analysis of industrial soft power, in order to draw the true layout of Guangdong's clothing industry wealth and comprehensive strength.

Meanwhile, each chapter maintains relative breadth assessment and in-depth analysis of latitude and longitude, and seeks to give corresponding development proposals. With a view to analyzing the competitiveness of Guangdong's garment industry system in a short period of time, it will provide a strong reference for the government's policy of designing and promoting the acceleration of competitiveness in Guangdong's clothing industry. It will encourage enterprises to enhance their comprehensive competitiveness, pay attention to the dynamic changes of their competitiveness and the combination of various elements that constitute the competitiveness of the industry, so as to provide projects for the industry, and guide the industry to enhance competitiveness and establish a sustainable development strategy from the micro perspective.

For many years, the garment industry of Guangdong province has played the role of main industry, leading industry, foreign exchange earning industry, employment industry and rich industry in the process of industrialization in Guangdong province.

Since the beginning of twenty-first Century, the textile and garment industry, which has made a significant contribution to the economic development of Guangdong province since the reform and opening up, is taking on a new historical mission.

It is foreseeable that the apparel industry will continue to play an irreplaceable role in the future of building a well-off society in an all-round way and taking the lead in realizing modernization in Guangdong.

The rapid development of Guangdong's garment industry depends on whether the competitiveness of Guangdong's garment industry is solid, and cultivating new competitive advantages is the hardest core of pformation and upgrading of Guangdong's garment industry.

Objectively evaluating the status and role of Guangdong's garment industry and studying the competitiveness of Guangdong's garment industry are of great significance for Guangdong's economic construction to take the lead in achieving the goal of modernization. It has important reference for the strategic structural adjustment of the national textile and garment industry.

The smooth implementation of the report has been strongly supported by the departments of the provincial government. The deputy director of the consumer goods industry department of the Guangdong Provincial Commission on economic and information technology spoke at the same time. He believed that the report stood at the height of the whole industry and studied the major competitiveness indicators very systematically, making up for the lack of theoretical research on the garment industry in the whole province. It objectively assessed the status and role of Guangdong's clothing industry, and had important guiding significance for the scientific development of the clothing industry, enterprises and brands. It also provided a strong reference for the government to design and guide the policy of accelerating the competitiveness of Guangdong's clothing.

In addition, the report puts forward how to make good use of the strategic opportunities to build a new comparative advantage based on the global market, how to establish and perfect the institutional mechanism of sustainable industrial competitiveness in the public policy level, and how to establish new industrial thinking in the process of matching and supporting the industry to achieve the two take-off. I hope that the government, industry and enterprises will further study and think about it.

The Yuexiu District government has always attached great importance to and support the development of the garment industry.

In order to objectively and scientifically evaluate the role played by the activities of "Liuhua international costumes and Guangdong Fashion Week" in regional economic and industrial development, the Yuexiu District people's Government commissioned a research institute to conduct a systematic assessment of the situation and the role of the activities. It was released by President Li Kailuo at the meeting.

According to the situation of garment industry and data collected and drawing on relevant exhibition evaluation indicators, the evaluation report sets up an evaluation index system to reflect the overall situation and role of China Liuhua international clothing festival and Guangdong fashion week, and combines qualitative analysis with empirical analysis.

Finally, cluster analysis is carried out on the comprehensive score, and corresponding suggestions are put forward according to the evaluation results and analysis of the existing problems.

Through the evaluation of various dimensions, China Liuhua international garment Festival and Guangdong fashion week jointly held for 2008-2010 consecutive years, showing continuous development and continuous improvement in promoting creative design, guiding fashion trends, expanding domestic demand, promoting consumption and promoting international exchanges. The platform service function has been gradually improved, especially in two aspects: "promoting creative design" and "expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption" in two aspects, which has played an important role in promoting regional economic and industrial development.

In 2010, the overall ranking of the event ranked third in seven samples, ranking only the two national fashion week in China and Japan, ranking first in the domestic provincial fashion week.

On the whole, the government's participation and support, professional audience organization, participation in media coverage and fashion industry interaction need to be strengthened.

Ye Wenhui, director of the Guangzhou economic and Trade Bureau of Yuexiu District, delivered a speech at the meeting. He said that Yuexiu District will continue to develop its advantages and make up for its shortage in the future. It will further organize the "Liuhua International Fashion Festival and Guangdong Fashion Week", build a public service platform for the construction and design of the clothing brand, consolidate and expand the brand influence of Liuhua garments and promote the development of the garment industry.
