According to a data from Jinjiang, at present, Jinjiang's more than 100 manufacturing enterprises have built their own R & D centers, and more than 10 enterprises have become the drafting units of national standards and industry standards.

This shows that independent technological innovation has become a strong pursuit of many enterprises in Jinjiang.

The newly developed lawn machine automatic walking machine with independent intellectual property rights has been knocking on the door of the European market, supporting the Italy Electrolux company, with an annual output of up to 10 million units.

In the first half of this year, the industrial added value tax of machinery manufacturing industry in Jinjiang was 50 million 410 thousand yuan, an increase of 52.9% over the same period last year, accounting for 3.4% of the total industrial value-added tax, and for the first time exceeded the proportion of food and toy industry.

The fact behind the two "turn around" phenomenon conveys a rich signal connotation: Jinjiang has rushed out of the single dominant line of the consumer goods manufacturing base, and has made persistent efforts to develop the high-end equipment industry.

Jinjiang people think this way: Jinjiang has successfully built a manufacturing base for consumer goods, but its comparative advantage as a manufacturing base for consumer goods is decreasing.

After entering the new century, more and more developing countries and the central and western regions of China join in the process of globalization, and the competitors of consumer goods manufacturing base are increasing.

As a preemptive area, Jinjiang should speed up the development of machinery manufacturing base.

"Developing machinery and equipment manufacturing industry is facing better opportunities under the background that the State supports domestic machinery and equipment to replace imports.

Zhuang Tianhuai, deputy director of Jinjiang Economic Development Bureau, said that the base construction will focus on the leading industries such as textile and garment machinery, shoemaking machinery, plastic machinery, stone machinery, food machinery and other major equipment such as petrochemical equipment, metallurgical equipment, electrical equipment, port equipment and other major equipment.

By 2010, the output value of Jinjiang's equipment manufacturing industry is expected to reach 15 billion yuan, and will become a pillar industry in Jinjiang.

Turning from traditional industries to new and high technology industries: in the process of promoting the pformation of industries, Jinjiang is still calculating such an account: in 2006, Jinjiang realized industrial output value of over 100 billion yuan, behind which is the support of about 900000 foreign industrial workers. Coming out of these projects will no longer be the traditional products of shoes and clothing, food and other traditional products which are commonly used in Jinjiang, but high-tech products such as environmental protection, photoelectric, green energy and so on.

Jinjiang people said: Archaean projects, Jin Baoli energy, crown electronics, crystal blue photoelectric and other projects, ignited the spark for the development of Jinjiang's high-tech industry.

The determination to attract foreign capital also shows that Jinjiang is sparing no effort in advancing the adjustment of industrial structure.

There are tens of thousands of enterprises in Jinjiang, but the "golden Pauli energy" is different from the date of site selection: first, the municipal government came to coordinate the project sites, and then set up a dedicated team tracking service to ensure the early operation of the enterprises.

The Jinjiang municipal government has been following up for more than five years.

It is understood that five years later, the newly built "golden poly energy" and "Guan Ke photoelectric" two high and new high-tech projects and supporting enterprises will produce output value of more than 100 billion yuan.
