China's Textile And Garment Industry Faces Three Challenges
Fu Ziying, Vice Minister of Commerce of China, said in Guangzhou on 1 th that although China has become an important part of the world, Spin Clothing manufacturing center and export power, but China's textile and apparel industry is facing three challenges: lack of innovative design capability, gradual weakening of export price advantage, and lack of international marketing channels.

After years of development, China has become an important textile and garment manufacturing center and exporter in the world. "But what we must see is that China's textile and garment industry is still facing challenges." Fu Ziying said that China's textile and garment industry is lack of innovative design capability and independent brand. At present, China's textile and clothing exports are still dominated by OEM, and the proportion of independent design and independent brand merchandise accounts for less than 10% of the total exports.
Fu Ziying said that the export price advantage of textile and garment industry is gradually weakening. With the substantial increase in labor and raw material costs, the pressure of RMB appreciation is increasing, and the profit margins of enterprises are squeezed. In addition, the lack of international marketing channels, weak control over high value-added links in the industry chain, weak bargaining power and lack of international competitiveness.
Fu Ziying said that textile and garment enterprises should take advantage of the policy environment to actively introduce overseas advanced design resources, enhance their design capabilities, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign brand enterprises, and fully utilize the international trade platform to realize the docking of advantageous resources at home and abroad, and enhance the ability of enterprises to develop the international market.
