2011 China International Green Innovation Exhibition Opens In Guangzhou

Yesterday (November 10th), 3 days of 2011 China International Green.

The Green Innovation Exhibition is highly valued by the United Nations and the Chinese government.

At the opening ceremony, the United Nations General Coordinator Luo Dailin and Gao Hu Cheng respectively read the congratulatory letters sent by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Premier Wen Jiabao of China to the exhibition.

The theme of this green innovation exhibition is "green innovation and low carbon development". It aims to promote the combination of green and low-carbon advanced technology, products and services with the huge market demand of low carbon pformation in China and the world.

The total area of the exhibition is 40 thousand square meters, and more than 500 Chinese and foreign enterprises participate in the exhibition, including China Mobile, general electric, Germany SIEMENS, China machinery industry group, BMW, Daimler Benz and other top 500 enterprises.

At the opening ceremony, the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development Bank signed a memorandum of cooperation on supporting the ecological and environmental protection construction and development of the national economic and Technological Development Zone, and 10 development zones such as Guangzhou have been awarded the title of "national eco industrial demonstration park".

The Green Innovation Exhibition is jointly supported by the national development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of science and technology, the Ministry of industry and information technology, the Ministry of environmental protection, the Ministry of housing and urban and rural construction, the Ministry of Commerce, the 7 ministries of the SASAC and the 7 provinces (cities) of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Shandong and Shanghai. China's foreign trade center, China Chamber of Commerce for mechanical and electrical products import and export, and the United Nations development programme jointly sponsor the two.

The plan is to be held in Guangzhou every from November 9th to 11th.

"Green innovation and low carbon development" forum held in Guangzhou

Yesterday, at the 2011 China International Green Innovation and technology products exhibition just opened, the Forum on the theme of "green innovation and low carbon development" was held at the Canton Fair Exhibition Hall.

Zhu Xiaodan, acting governor of Guangdong province and Gao Hucheng, Vice Minister of international trade negotiations of the Ministry of Commerce, attended the forum and delivered speeches.

Gao Hucheng pointed out that China's implementation of the "12th Five-Year plan" clearly proposed that we should strengthen the construction of a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, continue to take the road of green, low-carbon and sustainable development, and actively promote the development of energy conservation and environmental protection and circular economy, and promote the deep integration of emerging technology and emerging industries.

Efforts should be made to cultivate green industries into pillar industries and leading industries in the national economy.

To support the major energy saving and environmental protection equipment manufacturing, solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy and other new energy integration applications, new energy vehicles, green high-performance new materials and other industrial development as the key, in trade and investment policy actively promote the green low carbon industry intensive, scale and international development.

In his speech, Zhu Xiaodan said that during the "11th Five-Year" period, Guangdong's energy consumption per unit of GDP and carbon dioxide chemical oxygen demand and other restrictive indicators were completed on schedule. The energy consumption per unit GDP was at the national advanced level, and the goal of Green Asian Games and green Universiade was successfully achieved.

Guangdong will take the Green Innovation Exhibition as an opportunity to push forward the pilot work of low carbon provinces and cities, vigorously promote low-carbon core technologies, and strive to promote green development cooperation, so as to promote energy conservation and emission reduction and accelerate the construction of a resource conserving and environment-friendly society.
