　　1979年珠海正式建市，在上世紀70年代后期至80年代初期，因毗鄰香港、澳門，與珠江三角洲周邊其它許多地區(qū)一樣，那些從香港、澳門帶回來的多姿多彩的服裝、鞋、帽、襪，令人大開眼界，令珠海獲得了港、澳服裝時尚的直接啟蒙，作為我國最早設(shè)立的經(jīng)濟特區(qū)之一，1978年，澳門商人曹光彪首開對大陸直接投資的先河，與珠海簽訂了珠海第一家外商投資的毛紡(服裝)企業(yè)——香洲毛紡廠項目，1979年1月，香洲毛紡廠成立，1979年11月7日，香洲毛紡廠建成投產(chǎn)，主要生產(chǎn)純羊毛衫和羊兔毛混紡紗，不僅是珠海市最早以補償貿(mào)易形式引進外資興建的來料加工企業(yè)，也是我國第一家“三來一補”外資企業(yè)，1984年，小平同志親臨該廠視察，對該廠大膽改革給予了高度評價。
