    A Dismal Turnover Is Expected Across The Border.

    The world's second largest apparel retailer Hennes&Mauritz and Italy luxury brand Versace (Versace) cooperation series will be launched this Thursday (November 17th) in the global sales.

    According to media reports, this cooperation will continue until 2014, with a target sales volume of US $700 million.

    This will be the eighth time for H&M to involve luxury brands in cross-border cooperation.


    Since November 2004, H&M has launched a series of cooperation with French fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director of Chanel luxury brand Chanel (KarlLagerfeld), and has been working with StellaMcCartney, CommedesGar ons, JimmyChoo, Lanvin and other fashion heavyweight brands respectively.


    The apparel retailer has sold high-end designs at a low price in the form of "condescending" and launched a cross-border cooperation in the apparel retailing industry.

    This year, TargetCorp., a large department store in the US, joined the Italy brand Missoni to launch a series of cooperation.


    Analysts said consumers responded enthusiastically to such cross-border cooperation, and each cooperation series triggered a sensation of snapping up queues.

    On the one hand, H&M's own turnover is rising. On the other hand, the major brands that cooperate with it also take this opportunity to get the media exposure and enhance the image in the eyes of consumers, which is equivalent to a free publicity.

    According to foreign media reports, H&M's next partner is Gucci, the former designer of TomFord.


    When asked to cooperate with a senior designer who is nearly 50 years old, MargaretavandenBosch, creative director of H&M, replied, "Ford is an interesting brand, and I don't mind his age."


    The clothing company revealed that it had not contacted the designer, and TomFord declined to respond.
