Hu Min, director of the clothing department of the China Textiles Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, said that under the background of the debt crisis in the US and Europe, the export of textiles to main countries in China is still growing, but the growth rate is showing a downward trend, and the export growth rate of Southeast Asian countries has accelerated significantly.
She also pointed out that 6 of the 10 garments used in the American clothing market were made in mainland China, and now only 2 to 3.
Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology professor Guo Yan said in an interview that compared with the mainland of China, the export of textile products in Southeast Asia has increased rapidly, but the scale is relatively small.
For example, in the US market, the volume of textile exports in China accounts for about 20% to 30%, while the total market share in other Southeast Asian countries is less than 10%.
Although the export growth rate of textile enterprises in China is decreasing, it is the price increase.
The pfer to Southeast Asian countries is a low-grade product, and the mid-range products are still retained in China.
In the light of future breakthroughs in garment exports in mainland China, industry experts say that China's textile industry should occupy a high level market, adjust its structure, pay attention to product technological innovation, and do well at the same time.
