The comparative test was launched jointly by 22 member units of the urban Rights Protection Forum, and was implemented by the Shenzhen Municipal Council of 2011, the rotating chairman of the forum.

The 60 comparative test samples involving 21 brands, all purchased by the Shenzhen Municipal Council staff from the market, basically cover the common brands and well-known brands on the market, and have strong representativeness.

The samples were commissioned by the metrological quality inspection and Research Institute of Shenzhen. According to the national mandatory standards and relevant product implementation standards, the decomposed carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, formaldehyde content, pH value, fiber content, color fastness, extractable heavy metals, phenol compounds, O-benzyl two methacrylate, identification and other indicators were tested.

The results showed that the quality of the 60 samples was good, and no formaldehyde and decomposable aromatic amine dyes were found to be harmful to consumers' health.

Among them, 56 samples were passed all the items tested. The main problems of the 4 samples that were not tested were concentrated on pH value and color fastness. They were: the GS112518 4.0-9.0, which was named "Nanjing three" wear clothing (trademark: Northland, model / item No. GS112518), which was produced by the border town sporting goods Co., Ltd., the standard required pH value of 4.0-9.0, the measured outer jacket fabric pH value was 9.4; the hats that were rated as the hooded zipper Jersey (trademark: CONVERSE, model / number C311W206123) produced by the Dao Er Fen Knitting Co., Ltd., the standard required pH value of 4.0-9.0, and the measured pH value was 9.4.

The pH values of the two products exceed the standard of pH value for the basic safety technical specification of national textile products (GB18401-2010).

PH value refers to the size of water extraction acidity and alkalinity on textile products. It is the safety index of textiles. The larger the pH value is, the smaller the alkalinity is. The neutral pH value is 7.5. The pH value of ordinary textiles is good in neutral to weak acid.

If the pH value exceeds the standard, it can easily cause skin itch and other inflammation.

The national basic safety technical specification for textile products (GB18401-2010) stipulates that the pH value of class a products (infant clothing) is 4 to 7.5, and the pH value of B products (clothing directly to the skin) is 4 to 8.5, and the pH value of C products (clothing with non direct contact with skin) is 4 to 9.

In addition, the trousers (trademark: Colunbia, model / number PM8843) are known as Jian Bang garments (Huizhou) Co. Ltd., the standard requires wet resistance 2-3 grade (dark color), and the measured result is zonal 2 level (dark color).

It is known as Foshan city Qinshun Knitting Co., Ltd., a series of logos Club produced by Qinshun Knitting Co., Ltd. (trademark: LOTTO, model / item EWDF095-3 qualifying product), the standard requires that the stain resistance is over 3 grade, and the measured result is alkali resistant cotton grade 2-3.

These two products are all dyed fastness which does not meet the standard requirements. The dye fastness of dye itself is not toxic, but dyes should be permanently fixed on the fabric, otherwise the pfer to human skin may cause harm to the human body.

When the clothes with poor color fastness are exposed to water, sweat or saliva, the pigments are easy to fall off, fade, and affect the appearance, and dye molecules and heavy metal ions in the pigment may be absorbed by the skin and cause harm to health.

In August, the green peace organization of the international environmental organization published a report on toxic and harmful substances in clothing of the world's brand clothing, which indicated that Adidas and other well-known international and domestic brands contain "environmental hormone" nonyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether (NPE).

The release of the report gave consumers doubts and fears about the safety of sportswear.
