Discussion on "national service" is conducive to improving Chinese cultural literacy
Bao Mingxin, a professor at the school of clothing at Donghua University, believes that "national costume" is a kind of institutionalized dress that shows the specific identity of a nation, a nation and an individual.
He pointed out that compared with the kimono in Japan and the Hanfu in Korea, there were two traditional faults in Chinese history, one was the Qing Dynasty's entry to the customs in 1644, the other was the 1911 Revolution in 1911, and the Western costume was respected under the guidance of the scientific and progressive thought.
Bao Ming Xin said that from the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty, there were records of clothing system in various dynasties, such as public records and so on.
In the past, the feudal dynasties used costumes to distinguish people's ranks. After the revolution of 1911, especially after the founding of new China, they opposed the use of institutional clothing to distinguish poverty from wealth.
Therefore, apart from military, postal and other industries with professional dress requirements, people's dress basically tends to be simple, identical and westernized.
In recent years, with the frequent participation of Chinese people in major international exchanges and major events, the dress requirements and tastes of the public have been gradually raised. More and more people want to highlight their national identities through clothing.
"Discussing the national costume is of positive significance for enhancing the cultural accomplishment of the Chinese people."
Establishing "national service element library"
Professor Liu Xiaogang, vice president of the school of clothing at Donghua University, thinks that "national costume as a symbol of clothing must be widely recognized and accepted by a country and its people."
In Bao Mingxin's view, China's "national costume" can not be fully represented by any existing form. "China's national costume must use Chinese elements to mark the nationality and identity of the Chinese people, and to dress according to different occasions, time and objects."
Liu Xiaogang said that the design of "national costume" should first allow the design elements to withstand textual research, extract elements from traditional costumes and national cultures, and respect the cultural customs of many nationalities.
"It is very difficult to represent with one garment. It must be a series."
Liu Xiaogang also suggested that in order to make the "national costume" meet the needs of different ceremonial occasions and climate change, we should try to establish a systematic style library of "national service", and absorb the elements recognized universally on the basis of widely soliciting public opinions.
Promoting the establishment of dress system
"National costume must inherit, reflect the implication of Chinese traditional culture, and change with the times, in line with the current people's dressing habits."
Bian Xiangyang pointed out that after the reform and opening up, Chinese clothing has gone through a process of western style clothing re popularization. Now people are discussing the re creation of Chinese clothing and the re application of Chinese elements, which shows more refined and exquisite dressing styles and dress etiquette.
He believes that Chinese tunic suit, cheongsam, Tang suit and even ancient clothing can be sucked into the design of "national costume".
Bian Xiangyang also appealed to promote the establishment of the dress system. He thought that in 1912 and 1929, the dress system was promulgated, and the dress system made written provisions on the style of dress, the way of wearing, the occasion of wearing, and so on. For example, the regulations of the Republic of China on the regulations of the Republic of China, made provisions for western style dress, long gown and mandarin jacket.
"China's economy has developed to the present point of dress system, through clothing, from inside to outside, to reflect the cultivation of Chinese people."
