2010 highlights
In 2010, we successfully launched the 2015 environmental strategy of Adidas group, which aims to significantly improve our environmental footprint, including ambitious targets for 2015 and beyond.
One of the goals is to use 100% sustainable "better quality cotton" in the products by 2018.
We should not only let product design teams use sustainable cotton in individual products, but also be used in all garments.
This fully demonstrates that Adidas's actions at the group level, such as implementing the environmental strategy, can improve the relevant processes and products of all brands, which is the core of our strategy: integrating environmental sustainability into every aspect of the business.
Our green business plan has attracted the participation of employees from all over the world. I am very glad to see that Adidas group and our environmental management sharing system in five important bases in North America have been certified by ISO14001.
This further illustrates our systematic steps in promoting environmental improvement, and also demonstrates the sincere cooperation of relevant personnel around the world.
We are conducting in-depth environmental assessment of the main suppliers' factories to achieve the environmental commitment of the entire supply chain.
In those self procurement business departments, we continue to promote strict compliance with workplace standards.
This year, our social responsibilities have doubled according to the business unit with a report card reaching 55 points, further demonstrating that we integrate standards into the commitment of the entire group.
The employee satisfaction survey is another milestone this year, with a participation rate of 90%. At the same time, we have the opportunity to understand the advantages and the need for improvement as an employer.
Next year, these results will be plated into action to help Adidas group become the best employer.
Our achievements are obvious to all.
We have been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 11 consecutive years and have been rated as one of the 100 most sustainable enterprises in the world by the global responsibility investment network.
We will continue to work hard to make our work better so that we can set more ambitious goals and prepare for the future.
Looking forward to the future
In October, we launched the most comprehensive and consistent strategic business plan of Adidas group - "the road to 2015".
In the next 5 years, we will strive to build ourselves into the leading brands of consumers and customers, so as to achieve high quality and sustainable growth.
We know that only by persisting in managing business operations in a sustainable way can we go down this road.
Over the past few years, we have laid a solid foundation for achieving success. We must continue to strengthen systems and processes.
We will continue to work with other brands to develop and introduce new ways to strengthen supervision and training so as to significantly change the conditions of employees in the supply chain system.
We need to see more green teams in factories and integrate environmental concepts into our daily lives, so that we can improve resource efficiency.
