Recently, the Guangdong provincial foreign trade pformation and upgrading demonstration base issued by the leading group issued the "first batch of provincial foreign trade pformation and upgrading of professional demonstration base announcement", the province's 27 bases became "the first batch of provincial-level foreign trade pformation and upgrading of professional demonstration base."

Of the 27 bases, Dongguan accounted for two seats, namely, the Da Mao knitting garment base and the Songshan Lake electronic information base.

All the bases will be supported by provincial funds.

Although the "first batch of foreign trade pformation and upgrading of professional demonstration bases" is only two seats in Dongguan, but Changan hardware mold, Humen clothing, Daling Shan furniture and other industrial clusters are also widely recognized in the province.

In October 2010, when the Joint Conference Office of Guangdong province promoted the development of industrial clusters to assess 61 industrial clusters in the province, 7 of Dongguan passed.

Among them, Humen clothing and big wool weaving industrial cluster ranks the top 10 in the province for two consecutive years.

Dalang intends to create a national demonstration base in three years

After being selected as the "first batch of provincial specialized foreign trade pformation and upgrading demonstration bases", the big wool weaving demonstration base has taken a key step in striving for the national foreign trade pformation and upgrading demonstration base.

Fu Zhien, deputy mayor of Dalang Town, told an interview with our reporter that Dalang plans to build a state-level foreign trade pformation and upgrading demonstration base in three years.

At present, in the industrial cluster with Dalang as the center, more than 20000 CNC looms have been used by enterprises, forming a complete set of supporting industries such as R & D, production and processing, logistics, trade, science and technology services, information consultation and so on.

In addition, Dalang has also guided the enterprises to enhance their "six abilities" through the establishment of six public service platforms, such as R & D design platform, wool quality inspection platform, personnel training platform, financing service platform, information consulting platform, exhibition and logistics platform, and so on.

In fact, the eighteenth measures in the "28 articles" are not the only action that Dongguan boosted the pformation and development of industrial clusters this year.

"Upgrading" to stimulate new growth in exports

In Dalang, the export volume of private enterprises accounts for about 35% of the total export volume of the town, far higher than the average level of 15% in the whole city, while the proportion of wool products in the export of private enterprises is the largest.

Fu Zhien, deputy mayor of Dalang Town, said that in November this year, big wool weaving was approved to become the Guangdong province's foreign trade pformation and upgrading demonstration base. Dalang plans to use three years to upgrade the demonstration base to "national level", and to strengthen the production and sale platform of the large wool weaving products, and stimulate the new growth of Dalang's foreign trade export.

Export trade plays an important role in woolen fabrics.

The slowdown in export growth is a fact, but Dalang has come up with countermeasures. Fu Zhien believes that Dalang should play a good role in stimulating export growth.

"Unlike other towns, the products of private enterprises account for a large proportion of Dalang's exports."

Fu Zhien said that the export volume of Dalang's private enterprises accounted for about 35% of the total export volume of the town, which is far higher than the average level of 15% in the whole city, and the majority of the products exported to private enterprises are woolen fabrics.

In fact, Da LAN weaving has become one of the main industrial clusters in the province. There are more than 3000 woollen weaving enterprises around Dalang. Every year, 1 billion 200 million sweaters are distributed in Dalang. One out of every 5 people in the world wears Dalang sweaters.

To stimulate exports, we should play a good role in "wool weaving".

"Last month, Tai long wool weaving was approved to become the province's foreign trade pformation and upgrading demonstration base."

Fu Zhien told reporters that after becoming a provincial base, Da Long Mao will get a better production and marketing platform, which will further enhance the export level of Dalang enterprises and bring about a new round of growth in Dalang's foreign trade export.

"At present, only about half of the sweaters produced in Dalang are exported to Dalang, and the rest are scattered elsewhere."

Fu Zhien said that becoming a provincial demonstration base would help to attract Dalang sweaters that were originally scattered around the country and return to Dalang base exports.

At the same time, Dalang will also become a "springboard" for the overseas market of sweater export in the surrounding areas.

In addition, becoming a provincial demonstration base will also help Dalang enterprises to reduce costs.

Fu Zhien said: "we will do a good job in export services for wool weaving enterprises, strengthen communication and liaison with departments such as inspection and quarantine, customs and so on, accelerate export tax rebate, shorten the backlog time of enterprise funds, and reduce operating costs and risks."

To become a provincial demonstration base is only the first link of Da Mao weaving to export channels. Fu Cheng said that Dalang plans to build a national level foreign trade pformation and upgrading demonstration base in three years to stimulate the rapid growth of its export.
