"Saw blade industry is getting thinner and thinner. If we do not carry out technological innovation, many enterprises will be faced with survival difficulties."

Qiu Xinguo, the boss of Fengtai tools, has been deeply involved in the industry for more than ten years.

In 2006, the sales of saw saw industry in our city amounted to 1 billion 466 million yuan, accounting for about 1/3 of the domestic output, accounting for nearly 10% of the world's total.

According to Qiu Xinguo, sales of Fengtai are expected to be over 100 million this year, but the profit is only 5 million yuan.

"In 2003 and 2004, our sales were only 80 million, and profits were about 10000000!"

By contrast, the profits of the current saw industry have shrunk dramatically.

"If we want to successfully cope with the adverse environment, we must strengthen the industrial structure adjustment, and shift the middle and low grade products to medium and high grade."

Since last year, powerful saw enterprises have increased investment in fixed assets.

Among them, the investment volume of Fengtai tools in the past two years for R & D and equipment renewal is the sum of the previous years.

In addition to strengthening technological innovation and upgrading product quality, many enterprises are also strengthening industry collaboration to seek a broader living space.

With the attention of the municipal Party committee and municipal government and the efforts of relevant units, the Danyang saw industry association was formally established in September this year, with 68 member enterprises.

"With a chamber of Commerce, it can regulate enterprise behavior, exchange information, and facilitate the communication between enterprises and related industry units, and it will play a positive role in promoting the healthy development of the whole industry."

How to reinvigorate the footwear industry is also a topic of concern to members of the Committee.

Some CPPCC members said that the leather market in Danyang not only failed to bring the brand effect into play, but instead became the pronoun of "low grade".

Song Changai, member of the CPPCC Committee, believes that Danyang's leather shoes industry has a long way to go to reinvigorate its reputation. First of all, the leather market should be well managed and managed so that it can play a concentrated role.

According to its introduction, manufacturers of brand leather shoes from Danyang want to buy raw materials from Guangzhou and other places, not only around the bend, but also increase the cost of enterprises.

If the leather market of our city can attract the suppliers of high-grade raw materials to enter, it will promote the development of leather shoes enterprises in the city.

In addition, many local leather shoes enterprises still have employment problems. Skilled workers and skilled workers are often "dug" by foreign-funded enterprises, and it is hard to find a solution at a time.
