Clothing Sales Growth In The First Five Months Minimum
The statistical report released yesterday by the China National Business Information Center showed that the retail sales of all the major large retail enterprises in February showed a negative growth over the same period last year, -7.99%.
Among them, excluding the Spring Festival and other factors, the number of clothing retail sales of all the major retail enterprises in the country increased by 6.1% over the same period of 1-2 this year, representing a decrease of 22.13 percentage points over the same period last year, a new low in the past five years.
Due to the advance of the Spring Festival, the consumption of new year's day and Spring Festival holidays has been released in advance, and consumer demand is relatively small in the first two months of this year.
Coupled with the southern rain and snow weather is not suitable for shopping and other reasons, retail sales growth slowed for two consecutive months, making the 1-2 month cumulative retail sales increased by only 8.73% over the same period last year, a 20.26 percentage point slower than the same period last year.
"Compared with the same period last year, most clothing sales growth has slowed down."
Industry experts said that clothing prices rose, some areas continued to rain and the weather was warmer and later affected the sales of spring clothes and other factors. In 1-2 months this year, the volume of retail sales of all kinds of clothing in a hundred major large retail enterprises in China dropped by 4.23% year-on-year.
