Donghua University's "Donghua Fashion Week" Is A Strategy For Creating Shanghai's Fashion Capital.

How far is Shanghai from the world-famous "fashion capital"? How can we gather the strength of government, industry enterprises and famous art colleges to accelerate the construction of the "fashion creative industry gathering area"? The 18 evening, the eighteenth Shanghai International Fashion Forum opens in Shanghai World Trade Fair. Experts and scholars from home and abroad will focus on the theme of "collaborative innovation" in the coming days, and discuss Shanghai's obstacles and paths to create "fashion capital".

What is of concern is that Donghua University Donghua fashion week has been held for 10 years, and this year has become the "fashion week around Donghua". One word is behind the development strategy plan of the "Donghua fashion creative industry cluster zone" which was jointly formulated by Shanghai, Changning District and Donghua University. Xu Mingzhi, President of Donghua University, said that the school has been able to adhere to the series of activities to undertake the Shanghai international clothing culture festival in the past 18 years. It is also because the school has focused on deriving and cultivating new disciplines such as clothing design, art design and fashion originality research from the dominant disciplines such as textiles and materials. It hopes to combine the government, industry and international famous art schools, and take the "Donghua fashion creative industry gathering area" as the starting point, to further play the "spillover effect" of schools in personnel training, scientific research, social services, cultural heritage and innovation, and serve the economic, social and cultural development of the country and the place.

As a brand project of Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival, the fashion forum and Donghua fashion week will continue from April 18th to 22. Through the academic forum, fashion celebration, creative competition, fashion show, exhibition of results and other activities, we will build a rich stage of fashion and creative display. The activities include two major forums, six dynamic shows and six static exhibitions.

Among them, the forum is divided into two parts: the main forum and the characteristic forum. The main forum is "collaborative innovation". Fashion capital "The theme" invited representatives from Shanghai and Changning District government and representatives from Donghua University, University of Edinburgh, the French ESMOD International Education Group, the IED education group of Italy European Design Institute, and the representatives of the enterprises. The hot topics on Shanghai's exploration and practice of creating fashion capital, the construction and development of the Donghua fashion creative gathering area, the important role of universities in the construction of international fashion capital, and the experience and achievements of fashion and creative education in universities were discussed. "Seminar on the protection of Chinese historical embroidery and intangible cultural heritage" will invite cultural scholars, non heritage successors and relevant business people to discuss the new research achievements and practical experience of China's thorax Township, so as to promote the popularization and professional application of excellent traditional culture and promote the characteristic development of Shanghai's fashion industry.

Donghua University will also hold six major dynamic shows, including the performance of outstanding student works in London Fashion Institute, the 2012 autumn and winter student works show in "Donghua," the final of the 2012 "Qiao BA Donghua Cup" costume design graduates, the top ten fashion designers in China, Luo Jing Jie special conference, the 2012 "Ya Ying Donghua Cup" Sino Japanese cooperation class graduate show, and the 2012 eighth "YKK Donghua Cup" postgraduate costume design competition. The six major static exhibitions include: 2012 fifth excellent exhibition of Donghua University SWAROVSKI creative design competition, 2012 static exhibition of Sino Japanese cooperation class, 2012 Donghua University fourth creative market exhibition, 2012 Donghua international modern art exhibition, 2012 New Ink Art Invitation Exhibition and 2012 assessment clothing: balance and circulation: Liu Jiajing solo exhibition. After the opening ceremony, the performance of outstanding student of London Fashion Institute (FIT) was held. The 12 outstanding masters graduating from this college have specially brought a grand costumes exhibition featuring "POEMTRY" to Chinese audiences, exhibiting 120 sets of student designs. Costume works It is characterized by high-end, luxurious, refined, detail oriented and outstanding personality. Laser cutout plastic film, digital printing and other popular clothing technology application highlights the fashion forefront style of fashion design.

It is understood that in the field of fashion and creativity, Donghua University has cooperated with 31 colleges and universities in 12 countries and regions, including France, Paris, New York, London, Italy, Milan, Tokyo and other five famous fashion schools in the world, and invited 80 foreign teachers from 12 countries and regions to conduct 72 cooperative courses. The school also established 30 fashion research bases with SWAROVSKI, ITALINA, Dekunin, Italy IED and other famous enterprises in the school, and established 26 teaching practice bases in China and foreign famous clothing enterprises such as YOUNGOR, Phoenix bird, Bo Shi Deng and Shan Shan.
