    Wages in Guangdong are climbing gradually after the Spring Festival. According to the latest data of Dongguan Labor Bureau, the average monthly salary of ordinary workers after the festival is 905 yuan, and the monthly salary of skilled workers is 1352 yuan, up 155 yuan and 252 yuan respectively.

    Dongguan Labor Bureau officials pointed out that with the increase of minimum wage standards in April, wages of some enterprises may be further raised.

    In addition, the Guangzhou Daily reported that Guangdong's GDP ranked first in China for 19 consecutive years, but the average wage growth of local workers in the second quarter and third quarter last year is the last in China.

    In addition to general practitioners and technicians, the salaries of local undergraduates (University Graduates) are also rising.

    In a business recruitment conference held in Guangzhou earlier this month, the average base salary of new recruits for undergraduates increased from $1500 to 2100 yuan.

    But the biggest headache for Taiwanese businessmen in Guangdong is not the rise in wages, but the lack of jobs for some time.

    Zhao Weinan, Secretary General of the Dongguan Association of Taiwanese businessmen, said in an interview with the newspaper that due to the difficulty of finding workers, the average monthly salary of Taiwan funded enterprises to employees has already exceeded the local minimum wage standards, almost all of which are 1000 yuan take-off.

    Dongguan Labor Bureau admits that the traditional manufacturing industries such as electronics, footwear, clothing and so on still have a large demand for employment.

    In particular, enterprises with labor intensive and long working hours will be relatively difficult to recruit workers. The monthly basic wage of this type of enterprises is often at the edge of the statutory minimum wage, and then the overtime income of employees can be increased by extending their working hours. It is predicted that there will be no less than 300 thousand employees in such enterprises, of whom 240 thousand are general practitioners and 60 thousand technicians are skilled workers.
