Wages in Guangdong are climbing gradually after the Spring Festival. According to the latest data of Dongguan Labor Bureau, the average monthly salary of ordinary workers after the festival is 905 yuan, and the monthly salary of skilled workers is 1352 yuan, up 155 yuan and 252 yuan respectively.

Local Taiwanese businessmen responded that the wages of Taiwan funded enterprises were much higher than this level, but the biggest problem is the shortage of workers.

Dongguan Labor Bureau officials pointed out that with the increase of minimum wage standards in April, wages of some enterprises may be further raised.

But the biggest headache for Taiwanese businessmen in Guangdong is not the rise in wages, but the lack of jobs for some time.

In particular, enterprises with labor intensive and long working hours will be relatively difficult to recruit workers. The monthly basic wage of this type of enterprises is often at the edge of the statutory minimum wage, and then the overtime income of employees can be increased by extending their working hours.
