In the first half of this year, the inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Shanghai found that there were problems in nearly 3000 batches of imported clothing Chinese labels / labels valued at US $65 million, and the batches failed to pass the rate of 25.7%.

In the quality inspection of nearly 5000 batches of imported garments for safety and hygiene projects, the inspection and quarantine department found that there were 400 hidden dangers in the imported garments of more than 400 batches and nearly 3 million US dollars worth of goods. The unqualified rate of the sample batches reached 8.4%. The unqualified items mainly involved color fastness, pH value, formaldehyde and so on. In the past year and a half of the statutory inspection of imported garments, through the continuous and targeted publicity of quality inspection departments, most importers have understood and grasps the mandatory requirements of China for clothing products, and gradually adjusted the quality of Chinese products, but the overall pace of adjustment is still slow.
