Garment Enterprises: Profit Margins Drop, Salary Rise Is Pessimistic.

The reporter learned from the Ministry of human resources and social security that in the first half of this year, a total of 16 regions adjusted the minimum wage standard, and the minimum monthly wage standard increased by an average of less than 17%, which was significantly lower than the average increase of 22% in the 25 minimum wage levels last year.

Experts believe that this year's overall wage growth is under pressure and is hard to say.

The minimum wage stipulates that the minimum wage in each area should be adjusted at least once every two years.

In the first half of this year, a total of 16 regions, including Beijing, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Shenzhen, Shandong, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangxi, Ningxia, Ningxia, Ningxia, Ningxia, and so on, adjusted the minimum wage standard.

Among them, the highest minimum wage standard is Beijing, which is 14 yuan per hour, and the highest monthly minimum wage is Shenzhen, which is 1500 yuan per month.

In the 16 regions, the adjusted minimum monthly wage reached 14 yuan above 1000 yuan, an increase of 8 over last year.

According to the preliminary statistics of reporters, in the first half of this year, both the number of areas that announced the minimum wage standards or the average increase of monthly minimum wage standards were not as good as that of the same period last year.

In addition, from the first half of the year's wage guidance lines, the number and the average growth rate are also worse than the same period last year.

Economic slowdown leads to economic slowdown

The drop in profits is considered to be the primary reason for the lowest average wage increase in the first half of last year.

"Although the trend of rising wage levels will not change, the slowdown in economic growth has affected the ability of clothing enterprises to pay, and excessive wage growth will increase.

It even causes difficulties for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Yang Liming, deputy director of the Institute of labor and wages of the Ministry of human resources and social security, said in an interview with reporters.

Statistics show that from 1 to February this year, the profits of garment enterprises above designated size decreased by 5.2% compared with the same period last year, and the negative growth appeared again after three years.

From 1 to May, the profits of garment enterprises above designated size decreased by 2.4% compared to the same period last year, and 5.3% in May.

There is still a downward pressure on the profit level of garment enterprises above designated size.

From this year to the next two years, the real economy will go from there.

In the process of production capacity, some garment enterprises will be in financial difficulties.

Historical experience shows that the process of capacity production is more painful, and usually there will be a large number of mergers, acquisitions and bankruptcies, which will lead to a decline in overall profits of industrial enterprises.

Zhong Wei, director of the financial research center of Beijing Normal University, said.

Affected by the drop in profits of garment enterprises, the situation of wage growth this year is hardly optimistic.

"Ensuring the wage increase is very stressful this year. As a trade union organization, it naturally expects a bigger increase in wages, but it also has to consider the affordability of economic development itself."

Zou Zhen, Minister General of the all China Federation of trade unions, said in an interview with reporters that the current economic trend is not clear enough to make an overall judgement of the annual salary level. If the economic situation in the second half of this year is not obviously improved, the wage growth rate is likely to decline.
