The encounter between folk photographers and publishers

As the main photographer of the beautiful brocade Zhuang dress, Liang Hanchang, a photographer, set foot on the "cultural journey" of recording the national folk cultural heritage ten years ago.

In August 2002, he was invited by the Propaganda Department of Guangxi long Lin county Party committee. He returned to his hometown with a photographic research project for a 1 month field trip.

In the village of mountains and mountains, he recorded the well preserved national costumes and local customs with camera lens.

Since then, Liang Hanchang's heart has never lost his deep concern for this land.

In 2005, he resigned from the journalist's "iron rice bowl" and turned his luggage into a firm executor for the memory of the nation.

More photos were accumulated, and Liang Hanchang gradually had the idea of publishing books to let more people pay close attention to these beautiful minority remains.

After acquaintance, he contacted Li Yuanjun, the then president of the relay publishing house.

"Although the national costume is not a new topic, I believe that people do not know anything about it or know nothing about it, or only see some fur.

It is not easy to combine writers, photographers, designers and editors to complete such a large book series project, but it is indeed a very meaningful thing.

Editing this dress series is not only to protect and save the national costume heritage, but now the government and many cultural people are doing this work.
