Adidas Is Being Investigated By Olympic Organizing Committee For Inventory Of World-Famous "Sweaty" Enterprises
Distance from 2012
London Olympic Games
Less than two weeks after its opening, the sports brand Adidas, one of the biggest sponsors of the Olympic Games, has recently been reported by the media that their factory workers are squeezing workers to create "sweat and sweat" products of the Olympic Games, and have been questioned by sweatshops.
It is disclosed that Adidas's factory in Kampuchea allows workers to work 6 days a week, producing T-shirts and bags and other Olympic merchandise, paying only 61 dollars per person per month.
Adidas said that the clothing factory workers can get $130 a month, and by September, Adidas will also increase their wages.
In response, the OCOG spokesman said on 13 that he was concerned about the allegations and would investigate the matter.
No matter what the truth of the survey is, in recent years, the word "sweatshop" has entered the public eye. Some big companies have begun to throw away their conscience and fall into a "sweatshop" scandal many times.
Let's take a look back at those companies that were once known as sweatshops.
Nike
Factory workers were abused.
In July 2011, Indonesian factory of Nike Converse, a sporting goods manufacturer, was accused of abusing employees.
According to the Hongkong Wen Wei Po, the abuse involved 2 factories, of which 1 employed 10 thousand workers.
These workers can only get 50 cents an hour, and they are often punished by the supervisor for violence. They will also dismiss workers at will, and even if they have a doctor's certificate, they will not be sick.
6 women workers were punished in the scorching sun for failing to finish 60 dozen shoes on time.
Nike acknowledged that the workers in these 2 factories suffered serious physical and verbal abuse, and similar incidents occurred on other production lines, but they said they could not stop them.
The resignation staff called GUCCI "full of louse".
In October 2011, 5 claimed to have been in Shenzhen.
GUCCI
The departing employee of the flagship store published an open letter on the Internet recently, accusing "GUCCI may be a gorgeous gown, but it is full of lice."
According to the staff, GUCCI has more than 100 regulations on employees' behavior, many of which ignore the physiological needs of employees.
For example, drinking water at work must be applied to the higher authorities. The bathroom must be licensed and restricted within 5 minutes.
Two Gucci resignation staff told the media that they had to apply for water when they were working in the GUCCI flagship store. They had to report to the toilet.
If the goods are stolen, all employees must be compensated.
An employee claimed that during her wedding, there was a loss in the store and she was also detained after returning.
But in fact, the company's products are bought insurance, "the company can get insurance compensation on the one hand, on the other hand, the staff equally apportion, collectively buckle the money supply company."
An on-the-job employee revealed that in the past 4 years, the GUCCI flagship store in Shenzhen has lost about 40 items, with a total price of around 200 thousand yuan.

Zara employee slave work
In August of 2011, in Brazil, an investigative television program called "A Liga" revealed that the clothing brand Zara was engaged in "slave like" work in more than 30 factories in Brazil.
Workers work 14 hours a day in dirty, disorderly workshops, and work 7 days a week.
Zara the price of a pair of jeans in Brazil is about 200 Real (126 US dollars), and its production cost is only 1.8 Real (1.14 US dollars).
The production cost is divided by the labor force involved in the production system.
After Zara's speech, the company acknowledged that there was "employment of slave workers" in Brazil factory, and promised to strengthen supervision over the production system to ensure that such incidents did not happen again.
Disney's factory was described as burying DreamWorks.
In March 2010, "the lovable Mickey Mouse" is circulating on the Internet.
The report said that there are many problems in Disney's parts factory, such as frequent industrial accidents, serious wage deduction, lack of labor protection and so on.
Some analysts believe that Disney will shift the factory from a sweatshop to another sweatshop, and will not fundamentally solve the problem of infringing on the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
At the same time, the absence of the labor supervision department provides the soil for the sweatshops to survive.
Microsoft foundries are sweatshops.
In April 2010, after apple, Nike, Disney and other multinational Chinese foundries were exposed to "sweatshops", Microsoft Dongguan foundries were also involved in the "sweatshop" ranks.
The US Labor Committee (NationalLaborCommittee: NLC) recently released reports that the Dongguan Microsoft factory and the world's second largest mouse manufacturer Dongguan Dongguan Ying Ying computer products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the queen of Yunnan") are "sweatshops".
NLC lists eight major crimes such as too long working hours, low wages, inadequate workers, bad working conditions, and illegal employment of some 1000 16-17 year old child laborers in Dongguan.

GE company is known as sweatshop.
In April 2008, the US non profit investigation agency released PolicyMattersOhio's investigation report on the alleged illegal employment of GE company in Xiamen.
GE Xiamen joint venture violates China's labor law, workers are overtired and lack of safety protection.
In China, there are two kinds of groups that can not be cut off with apple: one is the consumer, the other is the worker.
When consumers queued up to welcome the new generation of commodities, another group of large numbers of workers caused the American media to call apple a sweatshop because of their living environment and salary level.
Recently, more than 250 thousand Americans signed petitions and demonstrated in front of Apple stores, demanding that Apple improve the sweatshop environment and improve workers' treatment.
According to British media reports, apple computer's iPod player is mainly produced by Chinese women workers, and these women workers earn only 50 dollars a month.
Through the report entitled "iPod City", people will have a general understanding of the internal situation of Apple Corp iPod large manufacturing plant.
The factories located in China are owned by the Foxconn (Foxconn) company.
According to the report, there are more than 200 thousand workers in Foxconn's manufacturing plant in Longhua, Guangdong, more than the British city of Newcastle.
From the recruitment notice on the outer gate, we can see that anyone who has reached the age of 16 can apply for entry into the factory.
In factories in Longhua, workers produce iPods for 15 hours a day, and the monthly salary they earn is only about 50 dollars.
After leaving the busy day assembly line, their shelter is a hostel separated from the outside world. Not only is each room crowded with 100 people, but also visitors are strictly forbidden to enter.
The factory only allows workers to have "a limited number of personal belongings", and each worker has a "laundry bucket".
Carrefour
According to the report in January 2011, the income of more than 6000 front-line workers in 20 shops in Carrefour in Shanghai has long been lingering in the city's minimum wage line.
Data show that from 1998 to now, the actual monthly income of Shanghai employees of Carrefour has increased by less than 50 yuan, during which the minimum wage in Shanghai has doubled 3.45 times, and the per capita GDP in Shanghai has at least doubled 3.09 times.
It can be seen that the wages of Carrefour employees appear to be "standing in the same place" on the surface, but they are actually "getting back down".
However, it is regrettable that this super retail enterprise, which is expanding rapidly every year, is the world top 500 enterprise that advocates "freedom, equality, fraternity" and attaches great importance to the rights and interests of workers.
What is more regrettable is that at present, there is no rigid legal clause to bring Carrefour's boss back to the negotiating table to carry out rational collective wage negotiations between employers and employees.
