The fourth from the bottom is the work "The Daughter of the Sea" by Yang Xinming, the second generation of Chinese American students. According to Yang Xinming, her work is called "The Daughter of the Sea". At the beginning of her creation, "The Last Tear" is the name of this series of clothes. Its concept stems from a slogan about saving water, "Don't let the last drop of water become a tear". When I saw this sentence and related pictures, I was deeply shocked, and it stayed in my memory, I have always said to myself that I would use my favorite clothing design to interpret it and present it to everyone, so that everyone knows the beauty of water. This idea began to surround me round and round, trying to find my unique concept to interpret it, and the conclusion was "The Daughter of the Sea". It is one of Andersen's famous fairy tales, and every child has heard of this story. I want to say that the tragedy of "the daughter of the sea" has become an irreversible outcome, but we can also avoid the tragedy in another world that is much more important than it, that is, water. It has been proved by scientists that water has a memory, so I want to use the element of water to preserve the sad and beautiful story of mermaid.

It is understood that Yang Xinming, only 23 years old, was received from Spain by her parents when she was 11 years old. Her parents had opened a clothing factory before. At that time, her favorite thing was to find some leftover cloth heads in the factory to make new clothes for her dolls. Later, she liked painting. It was not until the year of senior high school that she realized that her future college courses should be her favorite clothing design. Therefore, She gave up the ordinary university courses that had already received scholarships, and decided to go to expensive art colleges. At first, both parents disagreed. They thought that girls could read good books, and it would be good to work in the office after graduation. In addition, it is a big expense for families to study in art schools. But Yang Xinming did not give up. Instead, she worked hard through her own unremitting efforts and finally got her parents to agree to her request with excellent exam results.

In the school learning process, she was the most hardworking one in the class. In her works, she always put some Chinese elements into them properly. Her unique design style was praised by teachers. When her parents saw her achievements, they also opposed her at first and then fully supported her.

According to Yang Xinming, although the concept of the entire fashion show has taken shape, according to the school's regulations, clothing design should not only be completed by students themselves, but also the entire graphic design, model modeling and advertising template should be completed by students themselves. In order to ensure that her works can better reflect the idea and texture, she invested a lot of money in the preparation of materials, and the clothes were also made by herself. Fortunately, she was familiar with the work of the clothing factory when she was young, so it was easy to make. In the busiest week, she could only sleep 4-5 hours a day. The final work did not disappoint everyone. Yang Xinming said that the whole creation process also received a lot of help from her family and friends, especially her good friend Maria Bilanos, who designed makeup, hairstyle and production together.

The graduation work show was a complete success for Yang Xinming and was also recognized by her teachers. Because of her outstanding performance in the past four years, BAU School provided her with a scholarship to study at the Melbourne Academy of Arts in Australia. After this summer vacation, she will continue to study there for half a year. We wish her more gains in the half year study, realize her dream and own her own design studio.
