Wenzhou Shoe Companies Export To Brics Russia
As one of the BRICs of emerging markets, the world's only major economy outside the WTO will be subject to a sharp reduction in tariffs after Russia's accession to the WTO.
According to Xinhua news agency, the overall tariff level of Russia will be reduced by about 3.5% after the accession to WTO. The weighted average tax rate will fall to 7.6% in 2013, and 6.9% in 2014, and 6% in 2015.

Wenzhou exports face cold winter
According to the Wenzhou customs circular, the total value of Wenzhou's foreign trade exports in the 1-6 months of this year was US $8 billion 320 million, an increase of only 2.1% over the same period last year. This contrasts sharply with the growth momentum of 30% in previous years, and is also far below the 8.7% increase in the total export volume of the whole country.
Yesterday, the Wenzhou customs provided data for July - the total value of foreign trade exports was 1 billion 750 million US dollars, down 9% compared to the same period last year. Wenzhou's total foreign trade export value was 10 billion 60 million US dollars in the 1-7 month, down 0.1% from the same period last year.
Wenzhou's exports suffered many unmet cold years.
The data also showed that in the first half of this year, the volume of trade between Wenzhou enterprises and the EU was 2 billion 260 million US dollars, a decrease of 11.19% compared with the same period last year. The volume of trade with the United States was US $1 billion 248 million, an increase of 16.39% over the same period last year. The trade volume with ASEAN reached US $751 million, an increase of 8.96% over the same period last year. The trade volume with Russia was US $644 million, an increase of 12% over the same period last year.

He also suggested that Wenzhou enterprises interested in exporting to Russia should be familiar with local policies and regulations, set up legitimate enterprises in Russia as soon as possible, and hire local workers to find more reliable channel traders, instead of using traditional frontier trade thinking to do Russian market.

In 2001, the volume of trade between China and Russia had exceeded 10 billion US dollars. From 2001 to 2008, the trade between the two countries experienced a rapid development period. In 2008, the volume of trade exceeded 50 billion dollars.
