The traditional understanding is a very big topic. We should study the history of Chinese ancient costumes, what the tradition is and how to behave on clothes.

But I can say that it is not a good design to embezzle the traditional Chinese patterns on clothing.

The major taboo of design is simply embezzlement. How to express Chinese culture in a modern language is not so simple. For example, Zen, many people make it like a Taoist robe. This is problematic, but this is in the course of historical development. Some people are doing good things after all, but it takes a long time to improve, or the depth of culture needs to be strengthened.

Another point is that we must not have a narrow nationalism. Now it is a global village. How to balance international vocabulary and national vocabulary is also necessary.
