Bishan Has Trained Millions Of Private Entrepreneurs

The footwear industry fair next month will invite international footwear giants such as Italy and Brazil to take part in from May 18th to 20th. The fourth China western international footwear Expo will be opened in Bishan county.

The International Pavilion was set up for the first time to strengthen exchanges between domestic and foreign shoemaking enterprises.

Improving the quality of oneself and seizing the opportunity to introduce foreign capital is the development thinking of building "the western shoes capital" in Bishan county.

An international exhibition hall was set up to seek cooperation. The head of shoe industry Office of Bishan county introduced that as of yesterday, 500 booths had been booked for this Expo.

Previously, it was mainly attended by domestic provinces, municipalities and local shoe manufacturers. The Expo has set up an International Pavilion, and 12 foreign enterprises from Italy, Brazil and other countries have decided to participate in the exhibition.

"The purpose of setting up an International Pavilion is to invite them to come over and see opportunities for cooperation."

The official said, at present, the shoes produced in Bishan county are exported to Central Asia, South Asia, Europe and Africa.

However, nearly 30% of Bishan's exports are re export trade, which is pferred to market customers through intermediaries.

After this process, shoe companies not only reduce profits, but also remain in the two level wholesale market, and have no autonomy.

The official said that this phenomenon is mainly due to the relatively mature and fixed terminal customers of local enterprises.

"This Expo is to provide them with opportunities to communicate with each other."

Seize the opportunity of coastal industrial pfer yesterday, the head of Brazil's paramount Mongolia Asia branch came to Bishan county to discuss the new plant construction with the relevant departments.

"The company is Asia's footwear giant, and this year it plans to invest 160 million yuan to build a new factory."

The director of the County Investment Promotion Bureau said that there are 8 to 10 foreign-funded enterprises that are expected to settle in Bishan.

There are more than 1300 footwear enterprises in Bishan County, which absorb more than 60 thousand skilled workers in the local and surrounding areas, even in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian and Sichuan provinces.

65 million pairs of shoes are exported each year, with an annual output value of 4 billion 570 million yuan.

In addition, as the West shoe material trading center, Bishan's various production supporting markets are complete.

"Such a complete set of facilities, plus the advantages of land and labor resources, can help these foreign enterprises choose Bishan."

The director of the County Investment Promotion Bureau said that this is the opportunity for Bishan to seize the industrial pfer in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta region, and achieve the result through its own efforts.

The government paid for training business owners, and according to the director of Bishan County Economic Commission, in May 23rd, Bishan county "modern enterprise management training class" will start.

The seminar is directed at local scale enterprises and agricultural industry bosses, and specially invited professors from the school of continuing education of Tsinghua University to teach, including the development strategy and marketing of private enterprises, modern enterprise management and investment strategies.

"Tuition fees are charged by local governments, with an estimated expenditure of 1 million yuan, of which 700 thousand is used for tuition fees."

The person in charge said that there were many private enterprises in Bishan county. Many bosses were local farmers. They often started from a small workshop, and often encountered business bottlenecks after their business grew.

It is understood that in mid October of last year, Bishan had organized 54 business owners to study in Beijing, and 15 days of training had benefited them. "Two bosses have come back to deal with things several times, and then fly to class again."
