From this data, it is obvious that the formaldehyde content of class a clothing of the new regulation is only a little more than 1/4 of B type clothing formaldehyde content, and the safety is much higher.

Quality supervision department pointed out that formaldehyde content is one of the important indicators of textile safety performance. Formaldehyde is a colorless, irritant and easily dissolved organic matter in water. Originally, the new regulation was prepared to be enforced in August 1, 2011, but considering a variety of factors, it was only a year's delay that would be fully enforced.

Therefore, since August 1, 2012, textile products that do not conform to the new regulations are prohibited from production, sale and importation.

The new regulation has been released for more than two months. Recently, the reporter visited various shopping malls and children's wear brand stores in Nanchang. The labels of most new brands of children's clothing on the 0~3 year old in many brand stores are mostly labeled as "class a", and most of them are GB18401 - 2010 standard, but there are also some old standards labeled "B" and "C".

Even some shops have no washing labels, no origin labels and no tag, and only attach size and size labels on clothing.
