Chongqing Shoe Export Base Settled In Bishan

Yesterday, the Bishan county government and the Municipal Economic Commission signed a memorandum of understanding on the construction of Chongqing footwear export base, which means that the Chongqing shoe export base was officially settled in Bishan.

It is reported that Bishan has formed a complete shoe industry chain.

Since Bishan began to build the western shoes capital in 2003, at present, there are more than 1300 shoe making and supporting enterprises in the western shoe market, with an annual output of about 60000000 pairs of leather shoes and an annual output value of about 4000000000 yuan.

At present, more and more leather shoes manufacturers begin to go abroad and compete in the international market.

Data show that the leather products of western shoes have been sold to Central Asia, South Asia, America and Africa.

In order to encourage more enterprises to enter the international market, yesterday, the Bishan county government and the Municipal Economic Commission signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The main contents include: the two sides jointly create the export base of Chongqing footwear industry, and strive to build the "China West shoe capital Industrial Park" into an export processing base for footwear industry in Chongqing, with the functions of footwear production, R & D, logistics, warehousing and footwear matching, quality inspection and so on through 3 years' efforts (i.e. to 2010). The annual output of leather shoes reaches over 100 million pairs, the output value of new footwear industry reaches over 2 billion yuan, and the export volume of footwear products reaches more than 30 million dollars.

In addition, yesterday, the laying ceremony of the world shoe giant Brazil's Monte Carlo base was also held in the shoe industrial park in Western China.

The total investment of the base is 200 million yuan, and 8 international standard shoemaking lines will be built. It is estimated that 6 million pairs of leather shoes will be produced annually and will be exported to foreign countries.
