    In many years of exploration of Miao embroidery, Yang Jianhong realized that because Miao people had no words, most of the Miao women who were engaged in embroidery were not of high culture and could not systematically describe Miao embroidery.

    As a "Museum man", she also needs to undertake theoretical research on this technology in the collection and display of national costumes such as Miao embroidery, which is of great significance both in the Sun Drum Museum and Miao embroidery.

    To this end, she went to Beijing to study for "master's degree in oral and non material culture" at Minzu University of China.

    In order to support the operation of the museum, Yang Jianhong also set up a company which mainly manages local embroidery such as Miao embroidery, Qiandongnan Sun Drum Miao Dong Embroidery Co., Ltd.

    Relying on the company in Qiandongnan Miao Township Dong village built 16 stable handicraft professional villages, with the market concept and demand focused on training nearly 1000 embroidery workers and batik, paper cut artists, and put these artists into the company's management and training, so that they simply to meet the needs of life skills, through a more professional platform to marketization.
